I’ve been watching this video of Morgantown for the last 12 years . Anytime I wanna visit, but I don’t have the time to drive back from NC I just put this on. Morgantown native, wvu grad. Motown will always be home . Go mountaineers !
I am just a freshman at WVU and I love it! Everyone that stereotypes us needs to watch this. And there were several people in my History class today that were talking about this. Awesome job!
I love this. Especially as an avid traveler, for most people Morgantown is just a blip on the map but it's more than home to me. I'm so glad I have a brilliant video to share with my international friends! Mountaineer for life.
I have to say, I am absolutely speechless. Seeing this is the Morgantown I am proud of. Not when where burning a couch but looking being proud of our country-side as well as urban civilization. Good Job Chad.
Awesome. 05' alumni of WVU and it always has a special place in my heart. As does West Virginia since I grew up there. Miss it dearly. 10 yrs since I visited last
This is so, so awesome. I'm a WVU grad living on the West Coast and this video just made me miss West Virginia and Morgantown so bad...but also made me proud of where I came from. Well done!
WOW, all I can say is WOW. One of the best movies I have watched in a long time. One of the best looking sets of video beautifully blended to create a work of art. Thank you for sharing this wonderful creation.
Thank you for your time and energy in producing this awesome video of my hometown! An amazing way to showcase our Morgantown! Hope to see more of your work -- soon!
Well done, were you near the old Kappa Sigma house for those overshots of downtown and the back of the Mountainlair? Feels professional. I say, submit it to the tourism board. It feels very professional, and almost like an ad for the city. Job well done.
Very well done and quite lovely! Some days I wish traffic moved that quickly, other days its always nice to be able to sit in traffic and watch Motown. thanks!
This is great. It makes me homesick. After being gone for over 20 years I recognized so much. I agree submit it to WV tourism board. It would be a great promotional tool for them. Job well done!
I like the one at the top of High Street looking over the Mountain Lair Plaza as the sun sets. It would have been pretty cool if you could have gotten one of them setting up for and filming ESPN College Game Day!
You need some Evansdale shots :) And shots of the stadium fans and/or a game. Although, all in all it was pretty awesome! I especially liked the Woodburn one with the clock.
very nice :) for those who don't know morgantown though, the city is huge. this is just the downtown mostly. Morgantown is pretty much a metropolis thanks to the University. the towns incorporated are Westover, Suncrest, and Morgantown. we morgantowner don't even recognize the difference sometimes
Awesome video, I really think you needed clips of the stadium and the hospital and the PRT also though. And a clip of students crossing the road between classes in front of the lair. =) Made me remember why I love this town though. Very good song choice.
Excellent work! I've been wanting to show my friends here in Japan how beautiful my hometown can be and was getting tired of showing them couch burning vids. Now I'm going to attempt to replicate your rig.
Great video. Would have been cool to see exterior shots of the Coliseum, Puskar stadium, Ruby hospital, and Mylan pharmaceutical. But its still pretty cool. Well done.
@QuebecoisSti No, although I'd love to have the new gopro. I used my Nikon d5000 dslr. The videos are made up of individual jpegs put together in a "slideshow" where each pic is displayed for 1/29th of a second. Needless to say, thousands and thousands of pics were used on this.

Great video. I'm an Australian, and I lived in Morgantown for 10 years. Back home in Australia now, this brought back some gear memories. Well done.
I graduated from WVU in '94. College was the best time of my life. Really love this video. Thank you from Elizabethtown, PA.
The shot of downtown from atop the hill in Westover is absolutely stunning. The best shot in the whole video.
Yay! West Virginia in a positive light! It really is nice there. The season are so pretty! Morgantown is a nice place. I miss it.

This is so great that I'll show it to my Mom. And believe me, that's high praise.
Since graduating I've missed Morgantown everyday of my life.
But you never came back - I don’t blame you.
I have to say, I am absolutely speechless. Seeing this is the Morgantown I am proud of. Not when where burning a couch but looking being proud of our country-side as well as urban civilization. Good Job Chad.
This was an awesome video! Captures Morgantown perfectly! I think that the tourism board would MELT over this! Makes me love Morgantown even more
