- Join me for one long day on the Colorado River, as we float a stand-up paddle board through Glen Canyon and around Horseshoe Bend from the Lake Powell Dam to Lees Ferry. See Horseshoe Bend from the less-photographed side, 1000 feet below the viewpoint, where the temperatures climb to 105ºF while the water from Lake Powell remains in the 40s.
WOW,,,, bucket 🪣 list
I just finished doing this trip, you are right the afternoon wind can really cause you to dig that paddle in to make any Headway, I did the trip in two days, it was very beautiful and I hope to do it again in the fall with some friends
Your videos and narration are the most relaxing and captive of the experience. Keep it up!!
Thank you for your kind words!
Looks like a good time! What a great way to avoid the throngs!
We were there last summer I couldn't believe ho friggin cold the water was when it is 108 outside.
Good information
Thank you for sharing. My husband doesn’t paddle, so it’s nice to see a woman do this on her own. I’m hoping to do this next year. What month did you go?
This was the second week of August. Conditions were slightly hotter than average, but it’s pretty much like this all summer. Have a blast!
@tina lovio I've rafted down the Colorado. I recommend going in May or October to avoid the heat. June - September are the hottest months. Hope your planning is going well!
Colorado river from Glen Canyon Dam to Lee's Ferry is called Glen Canyon, not Marble Canyon. You're welcome.
