I am absolutely not interested in shadows of brimstone BUT when I see a dungeon dive video pop up I have to click on it, just because of your lovely intro music and screen! It is so cool! And I love to listen to you! You have such a clear voice and pronunciation. I never had any issues understanding your thoughts. (As a german guy) your board game channel is top notch, straight up love it
The Burrower reminds me of the monsters from The Conqueror Worms by Brian Keene, in which one day it starts to rain and never lets up and these Lovecraftian beings start invading the earth (including a giant worm called Behemoth and, you guessed it, Cthulhu). I love Brian Keene’s lore. Anyway, I’ll have to add the Burrower and the Sand Kraken to my growing portfolio of minis haha
The expansion you're describing is the core gameplay loop of Kingdom Death Monster. You use parts of the bosses to not only make gear but also improve your settlememt
Thank you for this series of videos. I really appreciate the time you take explaining everything. Do you have a video about this painting method you used for the minis? If not can you maybe link to a reference please?
Your boss hunting scenarios sound like a fun way to structure all the content. Maybe in lieu of creating a DIY Monster Hunter crafting system, one could come up with a Mega Man-style boss selection campaign where beating a boss unlocks persistent effects/abilities related to the boss.
Could you tell me what shade of Polyshade Minwax did you use on your SoB mini's, and or the steps you did to get that amazing shine on them? I am looking to replicate what you did for yours but dont know what to do/use. Thanks :-)
With the bosses, can you use them outside of the world the text refers to , such as the Gastral Tyrant can it only be played with if you have either Derelict Ship or Belly of the Beast - i have the Swamps set only but am unsure if i can add any bosses or just a certain one specific to Swamps or Mines. I have only just ordered the Swamps revised edition so am unfamiliar with how all the bosses fit together - this one looks like it fits the Swamps quite well but will be no good if i cannot play it there.
I'm pretty sure most of the boss-style enemies come with some regular threat cards to encounter them in other places. However, it's super easy to set up a boss hunting mission if you want to do so in any world. For you, play a mission that starts in the mines, with all gates leading to the swamp. Once you get to the swamp, play until you find a 3 clue icons. The 3rd clue icon is the objective room where you can fight whatever boss you wanted to hunt.
@@TheDungeonDive Okay, I see now that you have it printed only on one side. Follow-up since I'm already responding, are you using laser or inkjet? Thanks.
Since some of the bosses are really big, what do you use to store them ? With me, my place is very limited on storage space. I'd probably break a wing by accident during storage
how i would wish to have someone to help me out with this game. Have both kickstarters ( the big ones ) and the 3rd on the way ( warlord, so also the big one ). The rules , the cards , the tokens... its so overwhelming i have no clue where to start.
@@TheDungeonDive dude its so much. I have sorted all minis and cards. But storage holy shit. However i used to collect videogames and consoles. But instead of a videogame game room, me and the kids will create a boardgame game room. Mind is set to complete late this year :)
Dimensional Sunder effect #12 on the Ancient One is bad game design. Why would anyone not choose the effect swap gender? Since it has absolutely no game effect? Sure maybe you want to switch classes as an Enforcer, if you already lost some knuckles or fingers, but that’s also an advantage and not a disadvantage, and maybe a very few heroes actually want extra mutations (without the risk of dying!) which is also an advantage. Shouldn’t that be his most powerful attack rather than a cheesy way for players how to break the game? In 90%+ of cases this rare roll will have absolutely no effect.

Sure is! Love that game.
When the dragon will hit retail, i’m getting my hands on it without any hesitation.

I don't, but I'm thinking of making one.
@@TheDungeonDive what have you diped it in?
Minxwax polyshade.
@@TheDungeonDive thats it? Any other treatment? Looks incredible in my opinion
primer with a white or off white first.

Thank you, great video. Belial and Sho-Riu look especially impressive. Mind telling their dimensions?
Not sure but they’re on 90mm bases.

What kind of paper are you printing on because it looks SUPER nice.
I usually use 28lb photo quality paper.

I just toss them in a box or plastic tub. The minis for this game are super sturdy.
Looks like I'll need to get a storage bin 🤠
what is the dip wash you use for the characters?
Minwax polyshade.
Hey Daniel, I was just wondering what kind of glue you use for the minis, thanks
I use plastic cement, the kind that melts the plastic together.

Great idea to add a Monster Hunter expansion to SoB.
some of the xxl are just.. overwhelming. i never run them. too big/tough.. they look cool but they are not for me.
We’ve gotten lucky with Beli’al and Ancient One a couple of times. I wish they were more viable with 2 heroes.
Yeah, it's the same with a couple of the KDM expansions- great minis but they're just too high level to get much use
@@jamescollinge5043 wich level is required? Isit possible to win with 2 Hero’s?
@@davidsturm3546 for SoB you can do it with 2 heroes, or even 1, you just need to do some houseruling (look online for the most popular ones)
