That entire game was just a work of art! The way black synchronized the single rook and the knights is just astonishing, and that ending sequence- pure poetry on the board.

After 31...Nd4+ 32.Kg3! would be a draw. But in the game White continued with the weak move 32.Ke3?? and Black is now in a winning position. That is the tipping point of this game.

White was taken for a Carousel ride. It was amazing to witness how the knights worked together to restrict and tactically constrict the position. Nice analysis.

But the moves of the engines are often illogical. For example, after Rd8 Stockfish 16 does not play ...Kf5! but Ke7 and after Ra8 Kd6 Rd8+ again Ke7 and after Ra8 again Kd6 and after Rd8+ finally Bkack goes to ...Kc5.
It is also illogical of Akimbo that this engine goes with his own white king into the foreign camp and moves to a5, where he is then logically mated by Stockfish 16. So Akimbo has voluntarily dug his own grave.
The exchange sacrifice on e1 (...Rxe1!!) doesn't merit two counters, because after that Black can only hope for a draw. White was only really better when after ...Nf - d4+ White unfortunately played Ke3? If he had played Kg3! instead, Black would not have had a compelling win.
Fact. The game is illogical and nonsensical. Many moves are hardly understandable from a human point of view.

This was a masterclass on how to use the knights!! I learned from Josh Waitzkin that the connected knights can be a strength but also a weakness (especially if you attack one of the knights, then they sort of get in the way of each other). However, this game totally changed my perception of that concept. Just wow!!!

It was an incredible game. With top engines we are getting the "as good as it gets".

The exchange sacrifice 25...Rxe1 doesn't merit two counters, because Black doesn't get an advantage with this exchange sacrifice, but at most has a draw if White (and Black!) plays correctly. After 26.Rxe1 Nc2! is even the only drawing move by Black, since 26...Nxd3? loses because of 27.Rd1 Rh1+ 28.Kxh1 Nf2+ 29.Kg2.
      - After 26...Nc2! (everything else loses for Black) not only 27.Rf1, but any other rook move is also a draw. White only makes bad moves later and therefore loses. Per example 32.Ke3? instead of 32.Kg3. Black played later not best. 39...Ke7 by Black is a weak move, better would be 39....Kf5. Later White made terrible moves: 58.Re1?? and also 59.Rf1?? (a chess beginner move!) are so haphazard, that normaly no player would play this.

Incredible ending, that's for sure. It's puzzle solving at it's finest. I didn't see either of the two "pause" moves that Josip showed, so I failed "the puzzle."

Loved the checkmate moves at the end... but it was a completely accomplished by slow "boa constrictor" moves steadily parallelised Akimbo. Great game, great analysis, as I always say. Your "engine" games coverage "is the best, of course" to borrow a sign-off!

The double knights work well in CQB.

I have just learnt this fantastic game by heart. That means every move until mate (71 moves by White and Black). I'll be analysing the game thoroughly over the next few days. Because this game is very difficult. On the surface, I realised that White dug his own grave by making the idiotic move with his king from c3 to a5. After Black played 56..d5 - d4!! White seems to be in a mating net, as the white king has no escape via c3. From a human point of view you intuitively know that white should not be on the edge of someone else's camp with the white king. Such a thing is absurd and can only occur to a chess engine (Akimbo).

Many views and many subscribers are good for the RUclipsr, but say nothing about the quality. Most viewers on RUclips channels are satisfied with superficial chess analyses. You can see how bad most chess players are from the fact that chess channels in general hardly ever comment on chess content. Most of the time, chess viewers only show enthusiasm, NOTHING else.
