I found out something kinda terrifying in the last election. I used to be homeless and my activism is as a homeless ally. I help them register to vote and sometimes take them to vote now that I have a car. What I found out this time around is that a lot of homeless voted for Trump. It’s various reasons; some wanted people to suffer as much as they’re suffering, it was a revenge vote. In other cases, it was because evangelical Christianity is common among them because that’s where they survive: fundamentalist and theocratic churches give them a cot to sleep on and a full belly, and in return they have to sit and listen to their preaching for a few hours. Eventually it gets pounded through their skulls and they espouse it. Yeah, it didn’t make sense to me either. Classic case of voting against their interests.

As a teacher, I’ve been screaming for years! We have to educate the masses! A person cannot vote to give themself a livable wage from the corporation they work for but a person can vote into government the people who can regulate fairness. We have to fix the education system across the states, so that they are teaching facts, critical thinking, and paths to useful and positive success.

As a teacher, I’ve been screaming for years! We have to educate the masses! A person cannot vote to give themself a livable wage from the corporation they work for but a person can vote into government the people who can regulate fairness. We have to fix the education system across the states, so that they are teaching facts, critical thinking, and paths to useful and positive success.
Sadly, though, Education is one of their prime targets. They want to educate people the opposite of how you and I would wish to. But, I really feel this isn't going to last long.

Turning papers is a motor skill. When you read a real book and not off a screen, you will remember what you are reading ! Most learning is motor! It also helps if your parents take you to the library, and read to you as a small child. IMHO
