Bearded Butcher Pork Belly Burnt Ends Recipe
1) Cut, season, and place the pork bellies on a rack. Doesn't need to be oiled.
2) Put the whole rack on your grill at 250F for about 1 hour. ** Charcoal grills work great. You'll have A LOT of fat dripping **
3) At 1 hour, spray them with a mix of 1:1 apple cider vinegar and apple juice (keeps them from drying out and charring).
4) At about 2 hours (give or take), check them again. Internal temperature is less important than how they look. Remember, this is basically just really thick bacon. You're looking for nicely rendered fat and a good color.
5) Transfer the bellies from the rack to a pan that is safe to put back on the grill.
6) Drizzle your favorite honey over the bellies.
7) Add a "nice coating" of brown sugar.
8) We added one full sliced stick of butter to 4.5lb (pre-cooked weight) of pork bellies.
9) Add some Bearded Butcher BBQ sauce bit.ly/3obPs5B (don't be shy!)
10) Wrap your pan and place it back on the grill for 1 more hour.
11) After the hour, remove the pan. Remove the bellies and spread them back out on the wire rack. Place the racks back on the grill for another 10-15 minutes.
12) Remove from the grill after 10-15 minutes. Serve.

When done right (like this)...I'll take burnt ends over any cut of meat there is!
My mouth is literally watering watching this.
So scrumptious 🤤
I always marvel at the sharpness of those knives
Maintenance is key, Michael. We have a video for that 😉
When he opened the cover on that smoker and that smoke drifted out, I swear I could smell it.
Never thought about doing this. Had done brisket and brisket burnt ends for my wife’s birthday. Tender and juicy
Happy birthday to your wife, Aric!
That is a super nice cutting board. Great information on what to ask for from the butcher and how to prepare your cuts to get to the cut that you want for burnt ends. Then show how to season and grill to get the maximum flavors.
*The Bearded Butchers* You guys have to drop a video at supper time when I'm starving, Lolooo. Gentlemen thank-you for taking the time to show us how it's done. God Bless.
Hope you enjoyed the video, nonetheless!
Yeh same here. Always when I’m ravenous and could literally eat a full cow🤣
Word. Making a truly modest dinner for my boys and this comes on. Man I miss my house and smoker
Love these videos where you show the whole process. From the cutting to the table.
More to come, William 😉What should we cover next?
@@TheBeardedButchers I know you have done deer and other animals, but I would really love to see you cut up a moose since that’s what I like to hunt. I’m not sure if you do have any moose where you live, but it would be nice right from the meat cutting to the table.
@@wendyhanderson6781 I’m doing well and yourself?
Thank you Guys for the recipe and Now to find a pork belly for my Dyna- Glow smoker
Happy grilling, Kevin!
Yummy!!! I'm doing that ! The grands will love it. You guys have a Masters in Meat.
Hey fellas. I sure wish you guys would do a video on making smoked pork chops!
You all have too much fun and should weigh three hundred pounds by now …. My former father in law introduced me to side meat … same as pork belly yes? We fried it up when we went camping and I never tasted pork that was so tender and flavorful. Thank you for sharing and bringing back great memories with my former family . I divorced their daughter but they still treated me as a son after the dust settled and the smoke cleared . I miss them both and really enjoyed the time spent with them when we went camping .
How about a video on the "Steamship Round"? Where it comes from (easy!) and how to prepare it (hard!?!) on the smoker. :)
Your Hollywood rub is my favorite... I wish I could taste these! Looks amazing!
If you loved the Hollywood, then you'll definitely like this one too!
Awesome!!! Thanks, guys.....
My tongue is drowning because my mouth is watering that much.
Love them sharing with the mooch
Cheers to you “Buckeyes” grilling and smoking. My mouthwatering down here in Texas.
Cheers, brother! 🔥
This just got added to my "Bucket List" of things to smoke !!! Once again, you guys rock!!! Take care & God Bless!!
Love yall!! From TEXAS!! I ordered some flavorings, a bundle, and one knife. not Pedro, Lucy.
HOLY COW... Errrrrrrrr HOLY PIG... $83 worth of pork cubes?? Looks delish!!!
Great video's. If you haven't tried a 7-10 day pork belly brine in pastrami pickling spices and curing salt, you need too!! I Brined it, smoked it, sliced it thick and threw it on the flat top. Homemade Russian dressing, Provolone, cold slaw and marbled rye bread. Crazy good.
clearly you have done this before...I'm envious. That knife you're using, is obviously VERY sharp.
All thanks to Victorinox Steel Knives 😉
Goodness, that was good! I like how you all talk to us like friends, instead of “know it alls” like other shows on RUclips
WOWIE WOW WOW! “ Ach du lieber, mein schatz”! This must be a picture of HEAVEN! Your DAD must be so proud to have sons like yous!! The high spot of the video was seeing you guys “CHEWING IN UNISON” near the end, yes “ENDS”! Now you’ve got to give your beards a BATH!!! Love yas, you ol’ “bearded bamboozlers”! “Gesundheit”!
I want to know where Seth gets his knifes and a video of how he sharpens them
I have a pork belly in the fridge right now, heading home from work early today to give this a shot!
Happy grilling!
Love all of you guys and all that you do! - Thanks! - Cheers!
Much appreciated, Garry!
love how sharp those knifes are
Victorinox steel knife never disappoints 😉
His knife skills are mesmerizing
Therapeutic, yeah? 😉
Y’all need to try something called rillons. It’s an old French dish that made it to New Orleans. It’s pretty rare down here now, but it absolutely deserves a resurgence. It’s roasted pork belly cubes with a red wine caramel sauce. I’ve only had it once at a place called the meatery here in town. It’s one of the most amazing things you’ve ever had in your life. And nothing says that it couldn’t be smoked. That would absolutely take it to a new level.
Interesting suggestion, Alex. Thanks!
@@TheBeardedButchers Isaac Toups is known for them.
We deep fried a pork butt one time it turns outer 1” or so into cracklings and are they good along with the meet inside holds all juices
That's interesting 🤤
@@TheBeardedButchers yes dammed thing I’d ever seen

OMG dangerously good must try!🫠
You’re welcome. Sleepless night so I binge watched several videos. Right now your counter in RUclips says 100,000,004 views! Congratulations!!
I live in Arkansas but was born and spent my first two years in Warren, OH, so from one Buckeye to another, greetings!
I'm so glad I saved the pork belly from my hog. I used a slab of it to make pulled style pork sandwiches and it turned out amazing. Next slab I pull out will be burnt ends. Thanks for the amazing idea!
I like the format.
Im a film maker an huge fan of your videographer believe it or not. keep up the great job guys
Wow, Spencer will be thrilled to hear this! Thank you for tuning in, Christopher. 🙏
i just ate and now I'm hungry again
Eat again, but this time, make sure it's Burnt Ends!
I’m lost for words!!!!🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤. Just wish I was there with a plate!!!👍👍👍👍

@@TheBeardedButchers OH I definitely will.
Love these videos thank you!
Love the style of chopping and cooking very much. Spectacular.
Thanks, John!
Oh thanks RUclips. Just what I need to watch before I go to bed. Watching something about delicious food.
So if i want to use beef what cuts do you advise me to use?
I think the black could go home run on the beef too
Chuck roast. Brisket point for burn ends. You can use anything.
When I was young I worked at Smithfield's plant on the belly line for almost 2 years pulled countless thousands of ribs from the belly and never thought of burnt ends! Looks like candy.
And I gotta say we pulled our ribs in one stroke with a saw but sheesh! You have that belly looking damn delicious with only a knife, pros.
Appreciate you sharing this with us, brother 💪
Best memory I have of my Grandpa is raising and butchering pigs with him. Always tastes better when you have done everything yourself.
Thanks for sharing this. We're sure those were golden times with your grandpa 🙏
Great video as always. Would love to see a pros/cons comparison between the big green egg and traeger.
We have an article for that 😉
Check it here: beardedbutchers.com/blogs/news/the-traeger-grill-vs-the-big-green-egg
Looks absolutely delicious... only change I would make in the seasoning is to use dark maple syrup instead of the brown sugar and honey, for an even stronger 'candy' flavour. Cheers from BC Canada!
That's a good alternative, too 😉
Off topic but I did so Smash Burgers on the Blackstone and I seasoned the ground beef before hand with BUTTER BLEND. Sooo delicious
Butter Blend Burgers - YUM
Little Charlie confirmed they were good!
Have you guys tried smoking a bone in brisket? They are hard to find. I want to try and smoke one. The cook takes alot longer. But I've heard the brisket is the juiciest brisket ever and more favorable.
I'm doing those for our yearly familiy Barbeque night
Awesome! Share your tips!
pork belly burnt ends are one of my go to's for bbq now. good as hell in their own right, but way more forgiving than brisket, faster, and now more than ever - way cheaper!!!
To the bearded butchers : Have ever considered entering barbecue competitions. With what I have seen on RUclips you do some awesome products. Why not show the world how good your products are, by winning some barbecue competitions.
Maaaaaan!! The SKIN!!! that would’ve been 110% perfection!
Pork belly burnt ends is one of my favourite dishes to make. I always end up with more friends every time I make them.
Food tastes better when shared with friends, after all 😉
great job they looked real good..
This is your cue to go make some Burnt Ends 😉
Hi guys I really love your videos as I believe no one out there is doing anything like this. Just watched this video and decided to give them a Go WOW they are amazing . Had family over and everybody absolutely loved them , and I have only been smoking for the last 2 years and have learnt so much from you guys .
Awesome! 🔥
I love pork belly burnt ends and your video has given me ways to improve them thanks. Although why is it when i buy pork belly, it always has bone and cartilage running through it. Which makes it difficult to cube without trimming loads of it?
Thanks
Sometime I’d love to see a video of you guys sharpening your knives.
They have an older video on it. They use steel honing to sharpen.
Just got my first smoker yesterday and made these Burt ends with the Hollywood blend! Definitely going to be a revisit! Love all of the videos and the products!
Wow, congratulations on your first smoker, Aaron! Glad to know the Hollywood blend met your tastebud's expectations 😉
@@TheBeardedButchers P.S. the wife request a good smoked bologna video!
I avoided this video UNTIL I was going to eat food . Great looking pork candy guys .
Bro, Hollywood seasoning is the best. Hit a spatchcock chicken with it and look out! Can not imagine what pork belly tastes like with it. I’m dying over here.
If you like Hollywood on Chicken, then you'll definitely adore it on pork 😉
oh hell yeah that looks good
God I wish more then winning the lottery that I could eat that as you know I’m not able to cos of my Cancer treatment and I have not eaten anything for 3 years now but I do miss it so much I hope one day god willing 😢 all the best to you all Joe from England Great Britain.
My 39th birthday is tomorrow, and this is the RUclips video is the best present yet!
Happy birthday, Mike! Get Pork Belly for your celebration! 🎊
Good as always guys! Have made a shit ton of these myself, always a big hit. Oh, don't shy away Seth, it is just brotherly love.
Awesome job guys! Last batch of belly burnt ends I did was with Hollywood actually! Next it’s gonna be a whole belly like a beef brisket with the black blend for me
Looks great fresh ingredients flavor and juice,do they have to de only that size,is cooking the end’s a Little to long,,will it take the tastes from them.
Great job! If you ever looking for video ideas, I'd love to see some of the farming side of the business.
Can't wait to try it! Great Job guys. Just got my six back of rubs...the Hollywood is a favorite.
Wow and I've been making bacon out belly thanx
You guys are amazing.
No, Stephanie - YOU are! Appreciate the support! 💪
Looking good👍 Thanks!
Thats looks amazing, but 4 hrs wow
Perfection takes time 🤷♂️
Just made them, awesome!! Hit my favorites list immediately. 👏
So glad!
I love pork belly burnt ends! These look great!
Awesome guys
Love the video as always! 😁👍🏻 I have made these a few times and they are MEAT CANDY! Lol 😂 no one has ever complained when I made them.
8:30am and I am HUNGRY now
you could have dropped those in the dirt and they would still have been edible! awesome!
Thanks for watching!
Cutting Skillz 💯.......👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks for the video.
Yeh my mouth was watering and I am thinking would be real good if we could get those spice mixes here in Oz.
They ship world wide.

Ok..I just read the recipe and found the temperature! I'm cooking this now on my Traeger.
Have fun, brother! 🔥
The recipe turned out exactly as in your video. Instead of sprinkling brown sugar and honey over the burnt ends, I made a sauce using honey in solid form, barbecue sauce and 3/4 of a stick of butter. Once the burnt ends came off the grill and put into an aluminum container, I slathered them with the sauce and sprinkled brown sugar over them. The temperature of my Traeger grill doesn't get as hot as I'd like so I finished the burnt ends at 275 degrees fahrenheight. Absolutely delicious!!!
Another EXCELLENT Job Team !! Love it !! 🤤
Yay! Thank you!
Ok! I’m obsessed with your videos! I’m so excited when I see a new one pop up! Thanks so much 🙌 Awesome cook Jeremy!
Every time I want to start smoking some meat it either rains😨 or it’s cold. I’m in PA so I can’t wait for the sunshine ☀️😋
WOW, that looks good 👍
Tastes good, too 🤤
Made some this weekend. Used sweet bbq sauce and then alil hot bbq sauce. Nice and sweet at first and then when ur done eating it has alil heat.
Good stuff!
