I wish they had more uses also. I feel like the mass queen meta is in part a failing of the hydra for being lair tech and too squishy. It's nice to see them buffed but it's likely not enough to see them shake up the early game meta.
Hydralisks are easy to beat. All you need is hellions, Hellbats, siege tanks, banelings, lurkers and colossus to beat them. Just don’t use air units against them because those anti air ground units are infamous for trashing fleets of spaceships.
The primary map, used to set up the units & demonstrations, is the "LOTV Unit Tester Online" (found in the Arcade section). The gameplay map, at the start of the Defense & Counters section, is [TLMC17] Dragon Scales (found in the Melee section, search for TLMC17 or Dragon perhaps).
Hydras be like: “What is my purpose?”
Everyone: “You make lurkers”
Hydras: “Oh my god.”
