I bought this acura elite 2017 few days back and this looks amazing, its technology sensors are amazing, I really liked the sound quality. even my wife loved it, amazing parking, acceleration is too good. seriously I couldn't find anything which didn't amazed me. I also own honda accord. they last long and also got the cheapest insurance on this than other similar vehicles.
Regarding your comment about the panoramic moonroof, if they did that, it'll eat into the rear headroom space in the rear. If they want to retain that room, they'll have to raise the roof. That'll require more re-engineering, and down goes a rabbit hole. For me, I rather have no moonroof. I rarely use it, save weight, and improves the handling a bit without that over hanging weight.
Thank for the nice walk around. My 2016 TSX is in the shop with a $5000.repair price tag, so they loaned me a 2017 RDX. I"m thinking about buying one and your video was a great help to understand what was under my thumb.
Do those running boards decrease the ground clearance? Or the breakover angle? Seems like an unnecessary feature on a crossover that's relatively low to the ground. More form over function.
I like it, but I think I'll wait until the next redesign - probably 2019. I'm also waiting to see what Toyota does with the next generation 4Runner. (I know the vehicles are not very comparable - but the Toyota 4Runner, Ford Explorer, and Acura RDX are at the top of my list of SUVs. I'm also going to replace my wife's Acura TL with an Audi RS3 or Infiniti Q50 Red Sport. And I'm planning to get a fun car for weekends, too. Maybe a Mustang GT.)
The RDX should be an upgrade from the Honda CR-V, I had to zoom out to see if this was 2017. Outside of the superior engine, the RDX seems more of a downgrade from a 2017 CR-V than something to aspire to. CR-V, better vent system with 2 USB 2.5's in the rear, interior more cloth (or leather), less plastic, more leg room. It puzzles me, just two reasons to buy the RDX, engine power, and the badge to show your friends that you're "well to do".
That is a really cheap looking interior. I know Honda products don't have the best quality interior, my Accord sure doesn't. But I did expect more from their higher end line. This looks like it should be in a bargain basement compact car.
The CR-V does not have a V6, the RDX its faster and better built... I would instead wait for the next Gen CR-V 2017 and see what it has to offer against the RDX, My guess is that it wont be a V6 but rather the Turbo 4 from the Civic line up.
Good guess, you're right. But where would you need a more powerful engine? If you're driving on the freeway, the only concern you should have is getting 0 to 65 (in California more like 80mph), achievable by both cars. Better built? CR-V just won 2017 SUV of the year by AutoGuide, and Consumer reports rates it a best buy.
richbf2 Are you crazy? Those rims blend beautifully w/ the silver paint and chrome trim. Looks great. Tint out the front two windows to match everything up. Boom
I saw one of these on the road the other day, in profile, with a similar exterior options package. I thought "wow, someone is really trying too hard to make their Subaru XV Cross trek look cool". Then I got up next to it, and saw the Acura logo, and laughed. I went home and looked it up, saw the price, and laughed even harder. I'm not sure what Acura was thinking with the styling on this exterior options package. It makes the car look cheap, IMHO.
How much did it costs to have those illuminated door sills installed? Parts and labor? On their website it says $330 MRSP, did you have to pay for them to install it as well?

I wish they would update the navigation to the Garmin system that's in the new Honda's. They should also include Android Auto and Apple Carplay.

I kinda dig the black wheels with the silver paint. Adult badass
Thank you for taking the time to show us this! Well done.
The black wheels look great but not if the vehicle has chrome all over it. If they had a blacked out package that would be great
Acura still has the ugliest gps interface. Gross. Cmon man. Step it up like that Audi with google maps

Camber Hill TSX was replaced by the TLX in 2014. So there is no such thing as a 2016 TSX

Great channel! Could you test the 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV when it comes to the US? Can't wait to see it goes off-road comparing to the v6 GT.
When is the next upgrade of the RDX? This is a nice vehicle (my wife drives a 2013 model). Are they going to keep a V6?
That rear Cargo Tray is $135. Great video, thanks!
How's the reliability on these I'm thinking about buying a 2013 or 14 model starting with around 20K on it?
I really like this small suv
$2000 for black wheels seems excessive when you could just get a few cans of plastidip.
Always great review. Thanks Dave!
This is such a Sweet Car and its much cheaper than its competitors with all the same equipment.
Indeed and also faster. 0-60 is under 6.
+Phil Sanfilippo Wow thats not bad at all for a luxury family SUV with a V6!
That's what many reviewers seem to miss when reviewing Acura's.

Did you just win the powerball and you rubbing it in our faces?
I have this car, but didn't get the tech package. I will know better next time

There is suppose to have rear seat warmers where he said the climate was missing
I think it looks weird due to the rims. They need to be bigger, it just looks too wide, like a muffin top

these kind of reviews are pretty good actually, i own a 2016 rdx so i was just curious whats new and this video was perfect, not much lol
Why California plates when demonstration vehicles are driven in Spokane Wa. ?
You can get a CR-V Touring AWD with those accessories for less than the base model RDX. I like Honda but this is overpriced.
The CR-V does not have a V6, the RDX its faster and better built... I would instead wait for the next Gen CR-V 2017 and see what it has to offer against the RDX, My guess is that it wont be a V6 but rather the Turbo 4 from the Civic line up.

Jordan F Honda owns Acura...
Those who just say it's an over priced crv have obviously never driven the two side by side.
@scottdangerfield3227 Never , they truly sound delusional. The driving dynamics alone says they have no clue of what they're saying.
How much did it costs to have those illuminated door sills installed? Parts and labor?
Its usually a -400 upgrade for all 4 doors, you can also get both front doors only for 290.
so since the car was very easy to open does that mean anybody can open it too or just you?
Haley Aikens It has a Proximity sensor. You have to have the key fob in your pocket.
Everything looks good except for the grill and the wheels. The wheels look good but shouldn't be blacked out, atleast on this thing. Very nice car.
Bro what is the song playing at the beginning? It hits hard.
Dave what is your personal car?
does this vehicle have an alternate method of starting? eg a physical key to insert in case button start malfunctions?
Rob1 Alpha Unruly You can get the remote start on your key, so you can have 2.
thanks
I love this car I own one I just think, is cray how the Lexus competitor for this starting price is lower o.0
those black rims do not look right on this vehicle.
Yes they look like they belong on a Mazda CX-7/9
richbf2 Are you crazy? Those rims blend beautifully w/ the silver paint and chrome trim. Looks great. Tint out the front two windows to match everything up. Boom
richbf2 they look perfect for my 1g rdx :)
You couldn’t find a more attractive place to sit the rdx?
This was 6 years ago... I do now. Sorry if that's what inspired you to comment :-)
I thought you said goodbye to this car.
I did. Thank you.
Did you drive it?
man for that price, I'd rather go for non premium crossover like the latest Edge sport, that car looks more luxurious; MO.
Too much for a fancy CR-V. I'd get a top trim Forester XT with all options.
My $90k Cayenne Turbo S blows this thing away! What a crapbox!
David Yarber
90k?
that's the same torque but less HP than the 2016 Kia Sorento. wtf Acura, put more HP in it
Your kia will blow up at 100k, this Honda motor will last much much longer.
definitely my next acura after my old MDX im driving now dies !
those graphics are disgusting, seen that radio and nav screen
***** LOL
Rims design looks very similar to Volvo Xc60 and Mazda Cx5
please review 2017 ridgeline off road up that steel hill
Looks badass
hi where did you get the roof rail track? look pretty nice.
Jerry Lee optional at the dealer..
I don't see that as an option at my local dealer
thought it was a subi before I read the title
hello everyman driver I fuckin like your damm videos
$43,000 and plastic door panels. Wow.
2k for black wheels lol. Couple of PlastiDip cans and you're good to go! :)
Loving this car. But it's like a glorified version of my 2015 CRV touring! haha
Edwin Au Yeung I mean, that's what it's supposed to be, a luxury Honda.
3 years back I thought this car was bad ass ,right now I look at it like shit...
I saw one of these on the road the other day, in profile, with a similar exterior options package. I thought "wow, someone is really trying too hard to make their Subaru XV Cross trek look cool". Black rims look like you couldn't afford real ones. Nice ride other than that!
Cheers!
when are they going to give it up with that bird beak Grill
Why has Acura stalled its design. This isn't very good looking, and I don't think it ever was.
Moonroof shade Dave...
my 2010 Lincoln mkx has a better interior than this
Advance Package Version.
Love the exterior but interior sucks smh come on Honda step it up
Like. I would buy it.
Kinda looks like a CrossTrek
This "review" is all over the place.
Nice car
that few make it
ilove thes car😙
Looks like a crosstrek
over priced Honda cr-v ... I'll just buy Mazda cx5 grand touring 2016 ...
muy parecido al subaru xv . solo que mas moderno :) me gusta
The intro music sucks!
U look tired Dave, or at least u sound tired.
Says road test??? Fuk
What’s your problem?!
Interior is so bad, almost worse than Ford
beep beep beep
One of the ugliest SUV's on the road. If you buy this, people will ask "I'm sorry, how much did you pay for that again?" with a smirk...
Waste of time! Get a real job!
Who are you talking to?
He's just upset his parents named him HAL
+Shane Koval rekt
Sorry dad
