2015 nov rc390 owner here!! Married and 37 now with all kinds of responsibilities on my shoulder...
But.... once I am on the saddle of my rc.. its just serene... the feeling ... ahhhh!! ... ofcourse excluding the "comfort" which is totally irrelevant when you open the throttle... I too use it daily .. did around 40k kms.. I do spend heavily on maintenance to keep it error free and 100% working... The bike stays with me for the foreseeable future even when i have to stop riding it daily due to physical limitations and switch to another tourer
Im also married and 30 yrs old i bought duke 390 gen 3 the handelbar wobbles around 140+kph, i used rc 200 since 2016 and bought duke but i don't get confidence in high speeds..
Eyeing for the RS 457?
He mentioned it will be a single cylinder, so I doubt it will be the RS 457.
@@Sang-wan Duke 390 gen3 then probably. As there are no proper faired "Track Machines" in this segment currently.

I sat on this bike, but because I was in a wreck a few years ago, it hurt to sit on, but I wanted that single cylinder. I ended up finding the Husqvarna 401 Vitpilen and got that (the 2023 model). They are marking them down really low here in Texas to make room for the new one and I love it.
Stumbled on this video while binging on all Rc390 videos because I recently sold my Bs4 RC390. It was one hell of a bike. But after riding Lc4c duke I’m sure the new Rc390 will be a worthy upgrade.
Only long term Rc390 owners know it means to ride this one. It definitely wants to be with you!
i own Duke 390 2016, i love it
Own one 2015 duke 390 and have hit almost 90k kms with it. However I've changed both the brakes and the master cylinder. Was thinking of upgrading the fuel tank to 15 or so litres but couldn't find a solution. Great bike anyways.

I was in a dilemma to sell my 2015 rc390 before taking a long trip to ooty. Though plagued by lotsa issues on the way and back the moment you take corners on this bike you know she is a keeper. ❤. If you own one upgrading the suspension handle bar risers and gel seat and a remap will be a fraction of cost of buying a new 300 plus cc bike with all bells and whistle. But the phenomenal feeling from this bike at the cost you are spending is unrivalled.
Still owning 2016 rc 390 still in love ❤️🫶
You can still do clutchless shifting and rev matching without a slipper clutch/quickshifter

I have bought gen 3 duke 390 its power is so useable can ride at 30kph in 5th and bike does not vibrate at all and from their u can go all the way to 130kph they have given everything to improve midrange and lowend torque.. new 390 is a phenomenal bike. 😘😘

It is tractable, but during normal use I tend to change gears frequently. On 3rd it can pull clean from 25kmph.easily.
@@Ahmed-jv7oc It actually is. Both low and mid range have improved a lot, it has better in gear acceleration as well.

I absolutely love the 390 adv and now I am very most at the stage of buying it ,am confused if I should go it or wait for new gen 390 adv, what do you say?

If I were you I would wait.
KTM is known for their dirt and off-road bikes and finally they are going to launch a proper off-roader.
The current ADV is also very capable but in essence it is a supermoto.
Suspension travel is limited compared to competition and power delivery is like a super sport.
You will get much more true to form and value from the next gen ADV
@@anirudhhhhsupermoto is a dirt bike with street tyres. Whereas current adv 390 is 2nd gen Duke pretending to be an adv. So basically a street bike pretending to be an adv bike.

There will be always a newer and a better version and you will just keep waiting........ You cannot say when something will come until & unless it is officially launched. Remember, it took Tvs more than 5 years to release ronin after the concept was showcased..... there are plenty of other examples.
Wait for the new gen if you’re keen on the ADV, else go for the new duke390

Even I have exchanged my 2015 BS3 RC200 black bike with new 2024 Duke 390 .. I was quite sad to sell that but due to some reasons like u mentioned and for good exchange rate .. I sold it

How much did you sell it for? Inspired by you, I am having thoughts if I should sell mine. Its a D390, love the flexibility in sitting posture it allows, Relaxed Straight at the same time Aggressive Bent as per the need of the hour!
A new single cylinder track machine. There's not a lot of such vehicles that are available in the market currently with 390's power or even close to that power and it's handling capabilities. Wonder what will it be. A BTO RR310 maybe?
Not apples to apples comparison between new Duke 390 and old RC 390, since one is Naked and other is Faired. Pretty sure the upcoming RC 390 with upgraded 399cc engine and everything will be amazing!

The current gen RC390 is a lot smoother, no vibrations on the tank, fairing or handlebar even at 140-150 kmph, just minor buzz at the footpegs around 4000-5000 rpm.
They are also quicker to 100 kmph, and only around the 160 kmph bs3 rc 390 overtakes the current gen rc390. It's also because the older rc 390s had a smaller rear sprocket.

Get 2024 Duke's adjustable forks and rims with disc and you'll be even lighter already when you compare it is lighter than the current gen duke 390

I’ve the 2017 390 duke and it has almost 90% of the feel of the BS3. Never selling it
The 2017 models are better than the bs 3 models when it comes to reliability. Actually the gen 2 dukes are the most reliable, gen 1 had issues and currently gen 3 as well. In ktm svc, they aren't even able to figure out what is causing oil leaks in duke 250 and 390.
But strell wht about reliability ? As we all heard tht 390s breakdown after 45k ,50k km ?

I didnt face that. All parts were available at Bangalore or sourced from Pune.

Gen 3 duke will obviously accelerate much slower than a equivalent fully faired motorcycle from 120kph onwards let alone from 160. What were you expecting dude??
Fact remains gen 1 duke 0 to 100 was ~5.5 sec.
Gen 2 ~5.7 sec.
Gen 3 ~5.9 sec.
And these number were for brand new bikes I seriously doubt if these numbers are true for a 10year old model unless its been timed.
I don't think it would last half an hour above 8k rpm. So Idk what track riding you're talking about? If possible please share a raw footage of doing so.
M not sure why u think it is not possible, but I ve stayed at 9 - 9.5k rpm on a pulsar rs 200 for hours on the highway... I think it was doing around 130 something at those speeds. I usually keep it between 8k-9k in expressways and I ve done that many times.
I clocked around 60,000 kms on it over a period of 4 years before selling it off and upgrading to an rc 390.
@@ferbinxyz rs has way less power, even lower thn 25 ps (claimed). And a smaller piston as well. Bajaj doesn't have race bred forging or casting technology. Above 8-9k rpm 390 will overheat and start knocking, damaging valves or the gasket. Maybe even crankshaft bearings. Rs has smaller and therefore lighter piston. And it's cooling is also way way better than 390. So yes, rs is more reliable. There is no better track bike than R15, period. Don't call a faster bike a better one.

BS3 FI bikes have this issue. You need to use them daily. Let them rest for 3 4 days and do this continuously then you will start to get issues in injector and sensors
