The Regular Season and SEC Tournament Champion Gamecocks Are Looking to Remain Undefeated and Advance to the Sweet Sixteen Round Game of the 2024 NCAA Women's Tournament vs. the #8 Seed North Carolina Tarheels.
This 34th Game of the Season for South Carolina Features the 2023 National "Sixth Woman of the Year" and 2024 SEC Defensives Player of the Year Kamilla Cardoso, Along with a Very Talented, Highly Touted Roster of Young Players for the Gamecocks, Who Will Face a UNC Squad Led by Deja Kelly, and Alyssa Ustby.
This Will be the Second Time this Season that the Gamecocks Face UNC, With the Gamecocks Having Won the First Meeting 65-58.
The Gamecocks Have Been Very Impressive this Season, with Seven of Their Wins Coming Against AP Top 25 Teams (6 Over the Top 15), Scoring Over 100 Points in Two of the Four Top 15 Games.

I hope that this hard-nose defense, trapping, pressing becoming a staple in Dawn's defense. Often times, she normally likes to play man-to man defense only. However, I am still not fully impressed since their "Bigs" , especially K. C. She could use a lot of work on proper balancing, footwork, various low post moves, etc. However, great win ladies. Keep it up.

@eniola8062 she would play point in the W but she can't handle the ball or facilitate for her teammates. 25:05 shows three plays where she forces or shots a quick shot, her teammates get two o‐boards and she doesn't look to swing the ball or pop it out to an open player.

How in the world does anyone get around this South Carolina (SC) team, Robbie! Scoring from the 3-point perimeter perhaps. The Presbyterian team tried but could not make much of it. Fending them off at the basket might be the way to do it, but UNC has been simply outplayed there as well. I like the way this SC team does the fundamentals of this game, especially the stifling defence. No doubt, they are a very well-coached team indeed. I would be surprised if they lost the women national championship this year. Of course, anything can happen in the Final Four.
