I love her writings. Just started reading H is for Hawk after finishing Vesper flight.
Beautiful Hawk.
I read the title wrong, I thought it said "Meeting Between Falcon and Hawk". I was expecting a bird fight.
+Kelly Daye shut up
+Kelly Daye what
+Kelly Daye I'm lost
Just read your book, amazing. Incredible, sad, free. Lupin is gorgeous she's stunning
It’s great to finally be able to put a picture to the words of the book...when I read it, there was precious little high quality video footage of goshawks on RUclips. Sure hope, they go ahead and make a film out of it.
Fantastic iv just gone through this fascinating few weeks my self first time. Thanks for sharing.
This short episode is really amazing, i enjoy it a lot
Thx for posting. Cool stuff.
The Hawk: "I was told there would be a buffet!"
She's beautiful!
Magnificent book, "H is for Hawk". I just finished reading it.
Amazing hawk
Really cool. I've had to rescue baby Red-tailed hawks(stuck in sludge), they generally fly overhead later and scream "Thanks"!
sooooo beautiful!!!!!!!
I really like hats off for you
Groshawk love them she’s vocal (talkative)
This is fucking badass!!! Hell yeah! That lady has bigger balls than all the guys I work with!
Nice job falconer!
pritiyest woman in the entire world with.a very pretty falcon
I really like the softness the gentle voice of yours
Wow, i can't believe that Drax is a falconer
That sound she makes at 1:19 !!! I used to hear that around my area every morning as a child waking up. Now I don't hear it anymore.... It saddens me to think that there are hawks where I'm from when I was young... but they died out.
I feel I'm at the end of time with these two.
Question.... is it possible to breed these haws and then just hand feed them from a few weeks of hatching? (kinda like what I do with budgies?)
yes
Yep, there are lots of breeding programs across the US used for Falconry.

Where did she got that goshawk from? Since this is a channel about nature i think that's an important thing to mention.
If she's a UK resident than she will have had to get the bird from a Breeder, as taking bird from the wild is strictly illegal here because of the 1981 Wildlife & Countryside Act.
Looks like Rosalind Russell.
😘😙😙
Where can I get a hawk? 😯
R PAZ the wild
In the U. S and many other countries, birds such as a goshawk are protected by law. To keep one you would need to have special training and probably a license. Check your local laws.

Females ( she’s ) when it comes to hawks, falcons, harriers, kites, ( another bird of prey ) and buzzards. ( which aren’t bald )
I am job tha falkun
Why?
Why not?
This is a Goshawk????
Yes
Its not the color of a goshawk, so I am guessing it is still not mature.
It's a juvenile gos
How to catch a hawk? I want to trap a hawk. Plz. tail me
Maybe you should take her out of the house
She’s being manned. She doesn’t live in the bloody house. I know this is an old comment but it astonishes me how people who know precisely dick about what’s going on, just HAVE to stick their oar in......tis better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to comment and remove all doubt!!
She did
Opps my bad I was reading it wrong. At first I thought it was about falcon meeting a hawk. This is Buullllll shit the bird doesn’t know if she was a pig raiser or any other BS, she is new to the hawk
It's better to take a cat or a rabbit for a pet
..... don't play with the FLAME my lady, you will burn
Its not a "pet" dumbass.
She’s a professional falconer
@@brookewilliams1451 yes i know but she has to keep it far from her face, gawshawks tend to be very aggressive and powerful birds even for a professional falconer
shes creepy asf (the woman)
+Kelly Daye what
He said hurry up and go away. As in fuck off.
+Abdullah87 why so toxic
+Abdullah87 she's been a bitch to everyone in the comment section
What a drama queen. I can’t believe anyone with experience of accipiters etc can rate this woman....
I’m sorry.... But I don’t understand how this Helen has such a following. She wrote a book and is a bit of a drama queen, no doubt I’ll be hammered but come on, her Gos was at livery.... she’s hardly an austringer you’d learn skills and techniques from, vastly over rated drama
I don't believe she's claiming to be an authority on how to train a hawk there filming her as they obviously find her interesting enough to-do so, her book is a highly acclaimed best seller (the essence of which is not a manual of falconry) it would seem those from the world of literature would disagree with you by demonstration,
What a beautiful bird who will be enslaved for the rest of it's life until it's human master decides to end her life.
Not true. Once the bird is "manned", it flies free to hunt, and could leave if it wanted to. In addition, you should look up "passager hawks", these are yearling hawks, caught during their 1st migration, kept for a while then intentionally released to return to the wild; this is doe with both hawks and eagles, the released birds do very well in the wild.
