you have not connected the speaker to the audio amp thats what the plus and minus is for ,you have just connected to the board so the amp is doing nothing
Ah thank you for pointing that out to me! I still have this Gameboy in my workshop so I will sort that before giving it back to the customer. I'll pin this comment too so hopefully others looking to do this mod can learn from my mistake

@@ryansrepairslk 100%helpful pal. I had this retro six mod pack last year and couldn't find any videos for it, so this is great, and it shows a learning process for yourself much like others would have.
@@LadySamurai88 Watch videos of people installing this IPS kit from a few years ago. They're board sits at the top of the screen, mine had to sit at the bottom

@@SpanishDelicioso I didn't show it in the video but the new LCD screen allows you to change the colour palette as well as a few other options. All personal preference I suppose
You had me worried there that I left a typo in the title 😆 Retrosix is a small company and repairs and upgrades games consoles and other electronics. Nothing wrong with the Gameboy, but the upgrades do make it more enjoyable to play

I will invest in doing that upgrade in a gb color version.. not in that monochromatic thing.. just to get a brighter screen? That's bs..

The screen can only sit in one place in the bracket, it looks fine in person
