  • This is the interview I did for my monthly section in RECOVERY TODAY MAGAZINE called "Scummy Unplugged". Every month in this magazine I interview some amazing people that have got there lives back from winning their war of addiction. This FREE online magazine is hands down amazing and can be downloaded to your phone or computer from your app store. This is the one thing that I am actually excited for every month when the new issue drops and am lucky enough to be working with them and even have my own section. The magazine is all Sobriety based with some amazing interviews, articles, tips, and much more. Remember that this is just a teaser to what this magazine has to offer and I would recommend downloading it and reading the full article that goes with this video interview,

His story is his story and nobody can take that away from him. If he repeats his story doesn’t matter he repeats to remember the bottom and it keeps him clean. Bless you Novak from one addicted to another keep going!

He needs to keep repeating himself is so he nails it home every time he says it...if he puts his sobriety on the backburner for even a minute then his disease will start to fester ,it comes before everything and he knows it.n.a can be tedious and repetitive but that's why it works...it instills in him that if he doesent keep his sobriety as his top priority he will not stay clean. He seems like a loveable rogue type individual, and he reminds me of me in so many ways.would love to meet him someday to talk boring n.a shit all the "so called normal people" cannot get their heads around....fair play Brandon, keep up the good work🤮🤢🤠🤡

Some people have a problem with his method of speaking. But here's the thing, how many people who speak on their experiences are as deeply honest about where his experiences has taken them. I've not found many to be THIS honest about the despair. I found that refreshing. Everyone has their story, and his is powerful.

Totally agree. "My bottom came up to meet me". Every single interview is identical. Makes me wonder if his motive is true. Perhaps he's just latched onto what just sounds good: classic for an addict yet he is. Understandable. More than likely, he has found a way to find financial benefit by his addictions and interviews. As a 2 year clean heroin user myself I think he truly wants to help others.

If anyone has ever listened to great story tellers you understand the essence of repetition. Its for different audiences and theres also little details you can catch each time that wasnt in the other ones. I could listen to brandon tell his story a million times over. Also when you go into programs theres so much routine and repetition and organization and protocol so unless you understand the kind of traits and characteristics you develop as you recover you will never get it. No reason to hate on the guy at all. Hes genuine and honest. Also people say he gets 15% off the people he helps get into programs. Thats his job. FYI, EVERY worker in every drug program is there getting PAID. That doesnt mean they dont intend to do their job which is help others heal from their addiction. People have to make a living. No one does their job for free. Stop trying to paint this villain picture. Let go of your hate within yourself and learn to accept and understand others.

He's doing motivational talks. And he's a guy that only got his GED because the prison offered a Domino's pizza party for participants. He's not Mark Twain, man.
Motivational talks are the same speech over and over, whenever somebody signs you up, typically with a set amount of "mic time." It's the best he can do. His life story is his life story. For anybody that is his "audience:" you should only need to hear what he says once. Otherwise you're either somebody who is an addict and not ready for help, or a fucking CKY/Jackass fan that shouldn't even be commenting anyway.
The same thing is said about that guy that survived trying to commit suicide on the Golden Gate Bridge (EDIT: Kevin Hines). He says the same shit every time too. Doesn't mean he wasn't so broken that he felt he needed to end his life. And he's still alive, doing the same speech over and over again. So there, that's all I gotta say.

Is his story supposed to change everytime?

    • @torreymaxwell4149

That is his story. Would you prefer him add and change it up to make it more interesting. Your life is what it was. You can't change the past. When I listen to Dave Ramsey tell his story, it is the same story every time. He has been telling his story for over 20 years. So it is the same story, imagine that. I am kind of making fun but seriously, do you want him to make up stuff? If he gives interview after interview and speaks in front of audience after audience he has to tell the story. I understand

Brandon ditch the clichés- starts to feel ungenuine. Your story is strong enough without the scripted shit. 🙏
