You guys really put in the time with the editing. You knock it out of the park!!! Your channel is definitely my go to channel for hunting and fishing. I subscribe to many but there's something about your channel that sets you apart from the rest. Stay safe Johnathan and Sam. Thanks for sharing these awesome vlogs with us!!!

Absolutely love watching all your videos.. especially the Alaska ones!! I was very fortunate to be able to go to Alaska at the end of August 2023 with my dad.. definitely got our butts kicked with the fishing lol.. I have an uncle that lives right in sterling so we were able to fish alot of the near by rivers.. cant wait to head back up around the same time in 2025!!
Glad to see you guys back! I was also there for the opener but didn't see ya there. Got myself a jack, released a beautiful steelhead and caught some halibut.
No wonder I didn't catch any Jacks upriver!, It was grind out there for sure this weekend, ended up with a few small hatchery keepers, and few wild releases, nice chatting with ya'll on river, see you next weekend out there
If you guys wanna increase your hook up ratio with beads less of a hook set and more reeling will drastically help you hook more fish and land more fish! Hope this helps
I just cannot understand why people insist on ruining a Salmon by seasoning it to death. Do you guys not like the taste of Salmon. Please, one time cook it with a small amount of pepper and some fresh lemaon, and grill it. 😎😎😎🎣🎣
you should buy a centerpin combo for the float fishing would love a vid on that, for kings i use a 5.5 inch raven matrix reel and a lamiglass redline heaver action rod with 15lb braid mainline
Any reason for going out late night/early early morning? I understand on the opener. Just the schedule you’re on since you got there? Keep it up, the Alaska adventures are fascinating!
Those beads aren’t always going to produce. Find some new sizes and colors and switch things up. Fishing a river here in WA yesterday I cycled through a few colors before even getting a bite (fishing one hole they were sitting in) and finally a purple bead produced 6 kings, 2 over 20 pounds. Size and color matters. Other things that help w/float fishing: -High viz braid -pegging your bead 6 inches up from the hook instead of just a couple. -Tie your hooks on your leaders with egg loop knots
I will be heading up to AK next weekend and will be in the Kenai peninsula for 2 weeks fishing. Would love to meet up and fish with you guys if you have some time available!
Kodiak had the sockeyes come in first in April May, then the humppies, June July then dog and silvers in august Sept October. The rivers in Kodiak were too short for King Salmon except one river the Karluk which was on the other side of the island along with brown bears.
@@markmailander3880 what other river has kings? When I was there 1960 to 1962 there was the Buscan river, The American river, the Kalsin river. Now mind you after the great earthquake of 64 Kodiak island uplifted some feet on one end and sank feet on the other plus a tidal wave so that land features probably changed and aren’t the same now as back the.
@@MinnDakOutdoorsnice seeing you catching walleye back home, but the Alaskan adventure is the best! Thanks for sharing! Did well on the walleye this weekend and my son landed a 36” flathead 27 lbs on 6 lb mono. Long fun battle! Stay safe & thanks for sharing!

He’s full of b.s. you can keep wild fish.
He’s full of b.s. there is not a stocked fish only law in ak.
@braxw3 you can't keep wild because its a small run of kings on that river. You can tell its a hatchery by the clipped adipose fin.
