- A very special Christmas party that payed tribute to ABBA hosted by Paddy McGuinness.
You can get all festive with the group on Christmas eve, along with lots of celeb faces like Susan Boyle, Union J and Corrie’s Shayne Ward and Catherine Tyldesley, and all your favourite Abba tracks.
ABBA legend Björn Ulvaeus took part of the show reminiscing over his time in the group, plus a special performance from the Mamma Mia! stage show cast.

They always have to put their own “touch” on the song. The magic is that the songs were perfect in their original presentation. The reality is that ABBA songs can be devilishly difficult to perform. The Mama Mia casts have discovered this time and time again.
I was 13 years old when I heard Waterloo, and fell in love with Abba. Living in Maine, USA as a teenager, roller skating to their music seeing them on American Bandstand, it was a big part of my teen years. I've been on a ABBA kick lately, watching a lot of videos of them on RUclips, and feeling a whole new appreciation of the group and their music. Agnetha and Frida had the most beautiful sound together, no one can even come close to their unique sound, and the image they portrayed. I'm enjoying them all over again!
Amen,couldnt said it better myself,there sound is unique and perfection itself......and maybe most fantastic of all,its like no other music,completely timeless and appreciated everywhere no matter that its long time ago since they performed live....that is also amazing..:).. How big do you believe they were back then,and are,today in USA?

Lol . I love mick Jagger. I named my son James Jagger and call him Jagger. I was a huge stones fan as a teen and into my 20's and 30's.. I always will be, but not mick crazy anymore. Lol.

How? Tells me how someone can destroy a perfect song like "the winner take it all" like this band do in the show? Is the most horrible version that i ever ear in my entire life.

I've listened to dozens of ABBA covers. They all fall short of the originals. Some are just plain horrible.

I'm not sure about ABBA, but I konw Agnetha did a Christmas album with her daughter Linda
They haven't made one yet but part of their comeback project would apparently include a Christmas album (if I remember hearing it in their interview during the launch of the new songs correctly).

Wow really shows today's singers for what they are-- bad to mediocre with a few bright spots-- (like Susan Boyle) ever notice how so many of them can't hold a pure note so they warble- go up and down and all over the place with that note-- is it because they are afraid they can't stay on key if they hold it too long? They slaughtered Super Trouper... omg, painful. Don't try ABBA-- those songs so many hot and trendies made fun of- guess what? They can't sing them.
Odd fact: that up & down with the notes is called melisma. Or mellisma. Not sure.
People should not be allowed to sing ABBA songs

Only Susan Boyle has the voice to sing ABBA, & she rushed her song.
