Wow, always good to see improvements to GIMP, they are long in the making and pretty rare. I hope the positive feedback they are getting inspires them to improve it more frequently.
Well, what about others who did the same? Do you expect they cover every plugin, when the video is specific to GIMP itself and it's release? I for one don't even know what the Rembg plugin is, and I suspect many others don't either, or would have no need for it... and so is a subject onto itself.
@@martinson1252 In the tone and cadence of Johnny Carson: "I did not know that", but now that you told me where you were coming from in asking, what does this plugin do, so I can see if I do have use for it? I couldn't decipher any meaning from it's name until just now: Does it stand fore "Remove Black"? In photo-shop (Way back for me since I ditched Microsoft over a decade ago) I often used one very small but really great plugin called that, add "Remove White", which did just that, they didn't only remove black and white pixels, but their black or white pixel values, so all black or all white turned transparent, and all other pixels more or less so on the color saturation level, so their values of light and dark were also removed and their color values remained. Once applied, any areas you want to lighten/darken and mostly keep opaque, can be done via just adding white, over any gray to black on a layer below it (so back in). It was a vital tool to remove backgrounds from images with either black or white backgrounds, and other stuff. Love to have it (or the same thing by whoever) for it in GIMP.
I hope they add some game dev friendly tools too, gimp has been really helpful for me for simple use compared to photoshop. I hope they make some stuff related to gamedev too for it a sit is possible in gimp but discouraged due to everyone using photoshop more in the game industry just like blender.

You should mention that the author of the Rembg plugin (JamesH) has rewritten it for GIMP 3.0. It’s now available on his blog.

@@Bob-of-Zoid Well, the dude made a video about this plugin and how to install, so I expected from him to make an update.

I really wish I could hide the top miniature thing so I have more vertical space to work with.
I think there is an option for that, in the welcome dialogue there is an option for merging the top bar.
still no cmyk?
Not full support yet, but you can export in CMYK profile.
"modern look" - Very dry, bland and boring look. They always need to change the logo. xD
