Milk & More have a big fleet of electric delivery vehicles so it seems as though we have come full circle. It is a pity that Royal Mail have not universally adopted EVs - although judging by the time my pose arrives (usually pm rather than am) noise is not an issue. Judging by the age of the average RM delivery van we will be post 2050 before the Royal Mail will be able to embrace net zero.
Naw… Nicola. The reason I've clicked on this video is to see you again. Your presentations are always informative and fun. Wish I could be a fly in the cabin when you're driving: you're always so effervescent and personable, likely bolstered by the fact that you're not living on THIS side of the pond right now, because we're in the handbasket… and know where it's headed. Apparently the convicted felon elect is going to eliminate our EV incentives.
I drive a van for a living. In Central London. A Luton. What is the biggest electric van available? How far will it go? Would you like to get your hands on one and bring it out with me for a day to show what it can do? A “real-world” test….
Some electric van manufacturers offer 24 hour test drives. I think Ford do (or at least did ) with the new electric Transit... Of course they can't suit everyone who needs a van, but for people such as plumbers, painters, carpenters, and possibly some other trades or businesses who don't often travel more than 50 miles or so from their base (such trades don't usually earn money while travelling), they can make sense.
Amazon and other delivery companies use electric vans where I live in Scotland. They are all high roof transit size. I’m no expert on vans, but they do say electric on the back, and they clearly do the job. All of our local service buses are also electric.
The biggest thing to get with electric van is the weight issue. If you get a small battery one 58-65kwh battery and put a lot of weight in it you will only get about 100 miles range in comparison to a 58kwh car that get 230-260 miles. The 77kwh battery vans we have in the company I work for with the same added weight get about 190-210 in the summer. Also during winter you will lose about 10-20% range loss If you are using the van for around the town work then all will be ok. However if you are driving long distances then the bigger battery version is recommended. Also look at the charging speeds the ones we have take about 45 mins to get from 20-80% in comparison to my car which take about 20 minutes. Which is just the time it takes to have a pee and grab a coffee.
The new Renault Master is a very good option, and it also has good range as far as I know.. They say 420km with the bigger battery and loaded. That's probably enought for almost everyone imo.
Unfortunately ev Van's are awful. Once loaded up lucky to get 80 to 100 miles. Half that in cold weather. Depending on make. Move out of London is probably you're best bet. Untill that bellend khan is removed from power you've no chance.
Hey, i am from India. I know that you are uploading this video in hindi language, but it feels like using a google traslator. And in India and pakistan also no one speak like this. We use hindi along with english. And if you are intrested in traslating your video in hindi, i can help you.

Nail on the head as to why i clicked , Is it okay to say , i see you as the new VBH of motoring news ( sorry Vicky ) some figures on that van would have made it 100 %
Regen is great for stopping but Gliding is much better. Glide as much as possible is the driving goal as much it would be good for a manual car. And it would be cooler if a Citroen/PSA kept the Nemo alive and Stellantis focused on delivering a electric small mpv.
I know what you mean but she's always breezy and upbeat. Escaping into the fantasy world of EV car reviews takes one away from the reality of failing car brands with unheard of debt, eye watering depreciation of EVs, and astronomical EV insurance. Pretty soon if you have an EV in the yard you'll struggle to get house insurance. And as for parking in a multi-story... Which is a pity, cos I'd like an EV. But not yet a while. The market is saturated with over-production - there'll be a reset soon. Once one falls, be it Nissan, VW, Toyota or whoever, it'll be (car)nage.
@@daveevans9809Been driving EVs since 2017, I’ve saved an absolute fortune over the years. I don’t recognise any of this waffle. You being paid to make these comments? (Oh’ you forgot to say they spontaniously combust on the driveway 😂).
@@AlanTovI have, they are one trick torque ponies. Huge depreciation, tyre wear, 84pkwh to charge, only for those with private driveways, topping the most unreliable car surveys, can't be extinguished if they go on fire, worthless once the battery warranty expires. 50 apps needed, no cover at chargers for weather, lights, cold, wipers all affect range. Nah, no thanks.
This is the second video with this Stellantis product talking about some generic ev stuff. Is this paid by Stellantis? Range or driving with an EV is even better/easier in any other car. So weird. Stellantis is not THE manufacturer that has a bright EV future or a future at all.
I think that when they review a new car, the time is limited; so I think that for those educational and generic videos, they simply choose to rent the vehicle that offers the cheapest price.
@savioemc2 Ha ha, I'd choose an attractive vehicle. Not something that reminds of work, is part of a dying car group and on top represents the bottom of the market.
EVs are a piece of piss to drive. Like an automatic car but with instant response. The only "hard" thing I find about them is that the response is so instant and regen is so noticeable in most EVs that it can be hard to maintain a point on the pedal to maintain exact speed. So probably you're better off to engage a speed limiter, or cruise control so you can regulate the speed you're going.
I feel like you've never driven an EV. If you did, you are just a hater and you sat in a car without tweaking the settings, didn't like it, and just said they suck, because that was easier than learning how to tweak it so you would like it. Very grown up, sir.
@@vidpetrovic8907 Not sure you read their comment correctly. The first sentence of their comment means “EVs are very easy to drive”. Nothing in their comment is at all anti-EV!
@vidpetrovic8907 nope, the issue had nothing to do with braking. He's unable to modulate the accelerator properly, which is a basic skill that most drivers develop.
What surprises me, is that I can still recognize an EV from a legacy manufactory and modern EV builders like Tesla, or the Chinese. Interiors from Citroën, Renault, BMW, VW, Mercedes etc feel outdated, when you ever sat in a Tesla or BYD, Zeekr, Dongfeng etc.
@@thedreamfactory6964 Yes, But the Citroën advertised the MAX to come with heated seats, heated steering wheel, fog light etc . . . . but that turned out to be a scam. More downtime versus diesel vans to charge so more expense. EVs are only a small part of the solution.
