Another outstanding video cooney 🤘 Obsession really has lost their minds !! Every review I see with them being speed tested their way under there's no reason to put and IBO that nobody can replicate just my opinion.. I would go with the prime I'm really digging on them here lately I think I'm going to do the ct9👍
Lucas, that Lawless won't be fast the way you have it. You need to purchase an Obsession t-shirt, hat and window banner and wear em if you want the full 370...... 😂
SR6 is the best bow of 2019 for me. I was never a bowtech guy until I shot this bow. Absolutely a beast. I like the SR6 draw cycle over the SS. Weirdly the performance setting felt smoother than comfort setting. Also the back wall eases up a bit on performance. The comfort setting makes the back wall so solid it actually hurt my shoulder to let down. Overall great bow.
The SR6 is a nice but, but personally, I prefer the Realm X to the SR6. I think that is mostly due to the shorter valley on the X. The SR6 feels a hair too light to me at full draw. The draw cycle is interesting. Very smooth/easy at the start. But it gets super stiff right before the valley. It's not bad...just a bit different.
ArcheryTalk Good review. Most of the draw stuff is personal preference. I think bowtech made a mistake marketing the SR6 as a speed bow. I think this causes many people to just dismiss the bow and never even shoot it. I believe they would have been better served to just push it as their flagship bow without the speed bow tag.
@@richstafford1245 Ultimately, bow preference is all personal stuff. All of the bows are pretty dang good right now. It's about finding what works best for you.
@@ArcheryTalkVideo I found it came down to finding a dealer that would let me shoot all the new bows they had and get a good feel. I making the switch from right handed to left handed this season and found the sr6 to be the easiest to make that switch.
I remember having my Evolution being advertised at 353 and I had a consistent chrono of around 340 which I thought was reasonable since i was set up to hunt and not compete. I like the fact that it was quiet, fast, and had a huge valley and let off. I could stay full draw as long as it took and still have a well placed and stead shot. Probably gonna get the lawless 4t from the new lineup. Advertised around the same IBO as my Evo was (in the 350s), so I expect it'll perform similar. I guess I'll go find a trophy hog to test it on. Also might evn throw the garmin sight on it and see how well it performs. Anyways, thanks for the no nonsense review. Hell, I still remember the days when 350 was "physically impossible" on a bow so if any bow is above that, my hat is off to em.
I believe they don't restrict themselves to the methods other manufacturers use to determine max speed. They may go 90 pounds and 450 grains or 100 pounds and 500 grains. But I'm just guessing.
Iv seen many lawless shoot right at or over IBO and some shoot below. Decided to study what people were doing differently, obsession bows love stiffer spined arrows the bows hitting on or over IBO the shooter was shooting stiffer spines arrows and tuned it to that 350gr arrow. Also found out they have regular mods and S mods. The s mods are speed mods. And most had to make sure the bow was shimmied correctly which you have to check for cam lean at full draw to see if it needs shimming. If you watch videos on any of these bows you will see that all shooters get completely diffrent speeds and some are shooting IBO and some are shooting wayyyyy under IBO. There is alot that goes into chrono testing for speeds and honestly when IBO testing happens they shoot the bow with nothing at all on the string in a perfect place with a very expensive chrono plus IBO standards says you can shoot a bow within an inch of 30 draw length and within 2lbs of 70lb draw weight, so they could be shooting 31" draw and 72lbs with an all black string and getting 370fps all day
@@TheSouthernObsession within an inch?!?... As i understand the rules, 5gn per lb, 30" +-1/4"... Anyway its tested, it annoys me that the common man cant get within 30 effin fps of perfect speed... Even though I own the regular Rx3 im impressed that the Vertix did well for its advertised speed. I know they test similar in speed with the Rx3 and the Matthews being a hair faster.
Prime and Matthews had the least average speed loss with the hunting arrow. After factoring in the longer Matthews draw, the Prime was closest to its IBO.
Obsession FX30 with speed mods is by far the smoothest 365-370fps bow iv shot, I liked it alot more than the lawless and alot of guys are getting faster speeds with speed mods on the FX30 than the lawless.

Please please please go troll the people I see saying they are shooting their barnett vortex toy bows 300+fps over a chrono lol. The one video was a guy using what appeared to be maybe a paintball chronograph and he was hitting 240+- with his vortex. Still plenty of punch to hunt whitetail or even mule deer. But, much like a city kid with a truck on 44" mudders they think they're special I guess. Good to see some common sense in this world.
Mathews always be A#1 🤘
Don’t you have affiliation with Bowtech?
Nope. They just loan me bows just like the other manufacturers. Yamaha is the channel's only financial sponsor. Gold Tip provides all of our arrows, though no financial support.
What about bear whitetail...bow....lol
mathews always comes long and higher poundage then rated thats how they inflate.
370 fps YEAH OK !!!!!
It appears that was a touch optimistic.
@@ArcheryTalkVideo Companies need to just stop with the mine is faster than yours mentality and just give us the real numbers they "ACTUALLY" Shoot !
