    Does "Mosi" mean "first born" in Kiswahili? Because that's what baby names websites say. I know it means "one" in another Bantu language and "moja" is Kiswahili

    • @SwahiliPod101
      @SwahiliPod101  10 лет назад +2

      chrysforever1,
      Mosi means first. It can be used as an adverb or an adjective. For the case of a first born child, we could perhaps say, "mwana mosi." But usually, a first born is known to many as "kifungua mimba" in swahili.
      Hope this helps to answer your question.
      Medina

      @kambibolongo7530 10 лет назад +2

      "Mosi" means "First" but it is rarely used.
      Another more commonly used word is "Kwanza"

    100 is just mia

    • @wanyoikepetero
      @wanyoikepetero 9 лет назад +3

      +amilya aboud 101 is "mia moja na moja"
      100 is just "mia moja" ...and mia can still apply but it's considered incompelete without the moja at the end. So 100 is "mia moja"
