It's not for you. Small food industries do "whole foodsification" - making decent product, then packaging it attractively and charging 5x. It is simply a class signifyer. It is for the top 20%. This means to get decent product as an average person is impossible. Hellworld baby. And it's about to accelerate.
@@havanaradioyou're looking way to deep into this. It's a domestic small operation trying to produce a high quality niche product so it's bound to be expensive. Just buy clams and prepare them yourself if you want a cheap version.

Matt makes everything sound so darn good. 😂 It's how I tried sardines for the first time this year! Now I gotta try clams after this video. Not gonna lie they look intimidating. Then again, so did the sardines.

Great show Matt. Love you bringing other canned goodies on the show. $22 is a little steep can probably get a bite out with some fresh clams for a similar price. Keep it up 👍🏻 I’d definitely eat those Chili’s too.
Domestically producing anything of quality is expensive for small operations, so I can't hate on them too much over the price. Still that price is insane.

I always use canned clams to make chowder. The taste is stronger than fresh clams and you can use the oil to cook your veggies. Yum.
