2017 hyundai veloster, no issues but that's because I change the oil every 3k or less, it only holds 3.5 quarts of oil and they want you to go I believe it's 7.5k oil change intervals which is absolutely ridiculous on only 3.5 quarts of oil there simply isn't enough oil to take a beating for that long of milage. The reason for my comment is because of Hyundai not doing what's right by customers, they have a recall for the knock sensor and if you don't do the recall and your engine fails they will not cover the engine. So they admit there's a problem and if you just happened to be the Unlucky One that didn't get the recall done in time I guess you're just out of luck, that's not right.
As soon as you said one of them was a shocker, I thought right away of the hyundai dealership itself lol. Any dealership most of the time will low ball you. Glad you got a decent price for your car! Looking foward to the Tesla on the channel haha.
I bought my Genesis from Carvana because it was hard to find an AWD with all the features anywhere near me. Selling to them is a breeze, but buying can be a crapshoot.
$13k is ridiculous. My accord (2014, 70k miles) has a KBB around $14k. I can't believe you're only getting that much for a genesis. Depreciation is real, damn.
All of them definitely gave you a low offer. I did the samething with my 2016 Toyota Corolla LE with over 120,000 miles on it all of them gave me a low offer but I also went to Hyundai in Massachusetts they gave me a BS offer (yes it was more the your offer from Hyundai) that’s offer was $7,000-$7,500. I turned it down. I went to Acura they offered me $12,000 for my car. That’s was 1.5 -2 years ago. I’m shocked your getting $13,000 because your car compared to my old 2016 is way better with less miles on it.
True, however 1.5 to 2 years ago the same companies offered me around 19k to 21k for the car. It was during the used whole car boom during the pandemic.
I Still enjoy white version of your car.. If I had a more stable job 1 and a half ago I would of got ride of it at 18k... Now I see 11, and 12;s but I owe still, and I was just going to upgrade to the bigger G90. Which I still want... People slept on this Genesis. also I bet you are going EV
ALWAYS sell private party...all those companies will lowball you you to turn a profit. My old 2011 BMW Carmax offered me 3500 and I sold it private party for 7.5k and it was valued kbb at 10k. Autotrader for the win.
