Hi Mario, I would like to ask the difference between both ques 3 for percent discount and percent markup, they are both trying to figure out the original price, but why is this calculation different? Hope u can reply me please thank you!

I got a question , how did u got the amount u gonna pay? this is the part where im getting confused
Just remember If say the discount is 20% then you pay 100%-20% = 80% so take .80 x the amount to find the amount you’d pay.

The ans is dollar 84
why doesn't the markup percent equal the discount percentage. For example, in your first markup example the original price is $28, markup is 80% and new is $50.40. Now let's reverse it, let's say the original is $50.40 and the new price is $28, the discount is not 80% but 44.44%
How come when he did (70)(.70) he got the answer but for number 2 he did (400)(.400) and he still had to subtract
