As UK, you start with 240 interwar tactical bombers. These can be cheaply refit as scout planes with extra fuel tanks and should give you enough for the whole war using only 1 factory for a few years. Replace the bomb slot with the camera and put as many fuel tanks as an level 1 engine can support!
For scout planes, 2 extra fuel tanks usually works better than just 1. As one reason, with 2 extra fuel tanks instead of just 1 extra fuel tank, you have more freedom to choose from a well supplied airfield. A poorly supplied airfield results in airplanes flying from it suffering from reduced mission efficiency. As another reason, large martime airzones like the Western Approaches airzone to the west of the island of Great Britain often need the extra range provided by a second extra fuel tank in order to have an improved percentage of coverage.
It's a pretty yikes strategy, but the advantage Germany has on research and production early on means you really can't stop a real meta build very early on. The main thing I'd be watching early on would be dockyard count in the case they decide to bump to like 25 dockyards in 36 and lean hard into light and medium naval bombers and fighters
Yes but a delay in France can result in a delay in north Africa which can also disrupt Barbarossa 😁 the WW2 butterfly effect. I'm watching a multiplayer game where this exact thing is happening
@balkan-cowboy north africa is more an Italy question. If they actually build up in Libya and throw more weight towards Egypt while you're focused on stopping Germany in France as the UK that could actually make things harder if at the end of it, you don't have enough planes to keep green air in the channel and you didn't keep enough good units posted in Africa and took too many losses in France; but as germany you can beat the allies and still lose on barbarossa, especially if they get another year of preparation
@@ryankolbe365 Depends on how many commonwealth countries are player controlled. Canada and South Africa can pump out more than 4 medium tank divisions that Italy can't do much about in the choke point there. But if Britain is alone I agree
