You’re the first person who has actually made me want to read Crossroads, I’ve always been a bit unsure of Franzen and if I’d like him. I think you’ve sold me on him.
I wouldn't lie. Crossroads was bomb.
I definitely feel you on wanting to slow down and really sit with the characters in a book.

just finished reading one of franzen’s essay collections and it reminded me that actually i like him as a writer!! can’t wait to dive into crossroads
Ooh, I read and loved the Shipping News about 10 years ago when i was doing a journalism qualification. I loved it but I barely remember anything about it.
I am loving this video and update on ny lunch break! Im pregnant and can only seem to do audiobooks at the moment... Trying Soldier Sailor at the moment but its a bit close to home with the difficulties of motherhood !

Def interested in the first one I also started my menstrual cycle in 5th grade !
My daughter did too. For me, I was 13 which threw me off about my daughter. When I heard this essay, I listen to it twice. Also, Samantha is black I forgot to mention, which made me all the more intrigued. If you should try it out do let me know how it resonated with you.
sooo glad ur sucked into Crossroads. Franzen creates such engaging characters that i think depict the minutia of family life to a mf T!!! it's a big book summer babes!!!

Oh I heard Nightcrawling was amazing. I think it was nominated for the women’s prize last year, either that or the Man Booker. Either way, I heard the author is a young powerhouse. I hope it’s good.

Hey girly. I’m absolutely fine. I’ve actually started a new job and it’s extremely demanding on my body and I’m just adjusting. I have a reading vlog I need to edit and I’ve also still be reading quite a lot. When I came muster up the energy, I will film a wrap up as I have so much to discuss.
