The Sound Ice Melting

The Sound Ice Melting is the 2nd track on my newest album "Two Roads". It combines my love for jazz and the longing folk-like melodies of my Nordic roots.
"Two Roads" represents my eclectic influences over a lifetime in jazz. This new music has been influenced by Jan Garbarek's Nordic folk-inflected compositions and my own roots in American Jazz and East Bay Funk.
This is truly an all- star band! Rachel Z is known for her work with Wayne Shorter, Steps Ahead and Peter Gabriel. Omar Hakim, famed for his performances with Sting and Branford Marsalis among many others - and Jeff Denson for his stellar work with Lee Konitz, and Brian Blade. All three are brilliant leaders in their own right.
