    David! You're back!
    I got my own suture kit a few months back and have been practicing for a couple hours a few times a week. Needless to say, my skills have gotten ALOT better..

      Hi Shamir! That's so exciting to hear - suturing is definitely one of those skills that shows measurable improvements with practice.

    As a weirdo who does tons of embroidery I actually found some of this directly correlated to some of what I’ve done with thread, but with a straight needle and no needle scissors.
    I wonder if I could incorporate the two styles, surgical sewing and classic hand embroidery.

      Great video Dr. David! Such a great idea for people with extra time on their hands.
      How about a video on some subcutaneous sutures?

      Would you do a video on suturing with silk? My knots are unraveling before I can even lock them. I’ve decided I don’t like the pick-ups with teeth and prefer the forceps. But nothing I’ve tried allows me to throw knots with silk. Maybe I’ll just never use silk to suture. Seems like I should know how. I will only ever be doing simple lacs. But, why can’t I throw knots with silk???

    How was your experience with senior residents, abuse, attendings, here in third world countries, the abuse is really bad, physical and mentally, there are no mistreatment regulations in mexico, most residents either quit or commit suicide becouse toxic and malignant enviroment as well as 40h+ punishment guard shift. I want to know if it is similar there, pls answer

    Are you sure we need to cross our hands? When I did it a few weeks ago while suturing my superior told me to never cross my hands while suturing.

    • @AldoSchmedack
      @AldoSchmedack Месяц назад

      You DO as far as I know to keep the suture flat against the skin. It pulls it taught and low. Am no doctor so ask around though.

      @@DavidHindin for example a channel dedicated only to present trauma cases and answering questions, probably here and on facebook, you are a trauma surgeon right ? and in many countries there is no such medical specialty
