"You should ask Debra how she makes this" made my jaw drop before i heard the audience "ooooohs" lmao
Frank is the GOAT
@@zestymagic1679 fr! I need to watch this show again. Frank and Marie had the best remarks!
She's that old school grandma where if somebody says something like that you just back away slowly
@ always terrifying and amazing to witness lmao
The moment that Marie threw down the fork.. we knew how good it was.
Damn right
It’s honestly sweet to see her so happy that Ray enjoyed something she cooked.
As we get older we realize Debra is the perfect wife
She herself has admitted that cooking isn't a specialty of hers aside from Lemon Chicken. Turns out she may only need a good cookbook!
She was so used to Marie insults. that it is nice to have a good review. Poor Debra. 😢
@@yibelula23No, she wasn't, really, but she never forced anyone to like her food and she never learned how to cook just to spite Marie... so she accepted her faith.
@@redacted2275 *fate. Not faith. If she had faith to accept, she'd be a good cook.
😂 the food was so good he had to run and tell everyone 😂
When Raymond lifts his arms up in victory and does that “ya-haaa!” It gets me every time 🤣
This show was absolute gold!
Reminds me of the old guy Garvin
That last little bit has me in stitches.🤣
R.i.p Mr and Mrs Barone i bet there still bickering at each other in heaven ❤
This food has magical powers !!!😂😂😂
Turned frank into a nice guy. My favorite scene was when frank brought flowers to Debra 😂
Debra was an absolute dish herself
They frumped her up for the series to make her look like a frazzled housewife....but she was a very pretty young actress. Occasionally they'd have a flashback to newlywed or they'd go to a nice affair and you could see the real woman.
Oh yeah, she was a nice little piece!😋
The Power of No. Damn.
The older I get the more she's my ideal woman. Not many women like this anymore.
@@etxkevin7452 Yeah, I'm kinda into frumpled housewife these days... anyone who brings me a plate of food, really.
I don't have the energy for the razzle dazzle anymore.
"Tough crap Peacock" lol, love Frank
My husbands grandma was just like Marie; made herself the Empress of food within the family. She didn’t write down any recipes and kept everything to herself. She wasn’t cute or sweet about it either. She would flat out yell and scream at people if they asked or even tried to watch her make stuff.
It’s been 20 years since she passed and the family is still upset with her over it.
That's a real shame she did that, very short sighted of her. I hope you guys might find a way to reconstruct those recipes or find some new ones to off set your own traditional recipes for you all and the next generation of your family.
Don’t get why some women do that. It’s a compliment when someone wants to know your recipe.
Control and attention.
@@lang-ed3bkmy guess is especially with older generations the men were expected to work and women were expected to take care of the house, including cooking. So if anyone, including their own family, wanted to learn how to do what they did like how to make their meals they saw it as a threat. Like they were trying to make them useless and they would loose their role as the wife.
My grandma recently passed and took her gravy recipe with her. Christmas dinner was delayed almost 2 hours because my mom was trying to create her own recipe based purely on memory of flavor.

My friend's mom was just like Marie she actually got upset when a dinner guest's fried chicken was a hit at her party.
Doris throwing down the fork literally made me cackle 😂 She had amazing comic timing.

As every Italian knows, there is only ONE thing worse than insultting an Italian mother's cooking and that is insulting an Italian grandmother's cooking.

Brilliant... Hilarious like she throws the fork don in disgust and walks out... Doris Roberts, you were phenomenal....
She's a phenomenal bitch! What a great actress!!
First trial recipes are always the best tasting. Something happens in the follow-ups! 😅
In this case, Ray made jokes about it with his friends.

Omg this is so true lol.
Hahaha. I know, right? So frustrating!😂
I always loved this episode! Deborah for the Win!
Frank was the greatest, never had to deal with his wife b.s. and not afraid to show it.

Brilliant sitcom. Simple daily humor.
The way she throws the fork down😂😂😂. I know a lot of people dont like this show for the weaponized whatever whatever but it's still hilarious to me lolol. RIP Sawyer, Doris & Peter❤
Fork Drop!🍴😂😂
Who did Peter play?
@@Blackrosecreater
Peter Boyle plays Frank Barone, the father.
The missing color in the Raymond rainbow 🌈 hahahaha
Something funny. My stepmother is very traditional, but didn't know how to cook. She's Chinese and in her area of China, girls that go to college aren't taught how to cook so she never learned. When she married my dad she was quietly upset because my father is a fantastic cook. He was a house trained chef for a few years when he was younger. It took him a while to convince her he wouldn't be angry if she cooked something bad and got her to try it. Then over the course of about a year, he taught her how to cook. Then one day when she was confident, she faced him hands on hips and said, 'get out of my kitchen.'
The missing color in the Raymond rainbow 🌈 always gets me
Debra was a saint! Because the way I would have been in that divorce lawyer office when Marie did her dirty on them meatballs!! That still pisses me off!
Imagine going out of your way getting a divorce because of someone else's actions 😂 that's why there's divorce so much these days women aren't women enough to stick around...your prolly divorced a couple times an think it's there fault 😂 society these days are traaash leaving your husband because of someone else's actions is insane

Why did Raymond had to ruin it for Debra.

Frank: I’m in who made it?
Ray: Debra

Robert didn't touch his chin with the food before eating it in this clip.

Nice catch
The antibiotics made him forget that he had a chin.
He wasn’t as stressed in this instance
He was bracing himself for Debra's food.

Great show.
Best comedy of all time IMO ...
This segment was hilarious 😂
This episode made me want to try Braciole. I did, and it was delicious.
I envy you. Was just thinking I had to give it a try myself.
Closest thing I’ve ever had is Rouladen. It’s basically the German version of this dish. I love vinegar but I’m a sucker for good marinara-based dishes.
Marie and Frank made the show.
Poor Debra put up with a lot!
love this lady the main reason I watched this show.
I have to watch this again bc I have a sneaking suspicion I won't think Deborah is such a hard ass now that I'm an adult 😂
She has the patience of a sainr 🙄😆
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I have to admit that I was physically attracted to her to find any fault in her...🤔 I do know that she put up a lot of crap unnecessarily with Raymond, however.
I loved this show before i got married and had kids... now i realize it was dead-on accurate with what grown-up life is really like.
Neither are bad people, and ofc ray is aloof and causes a lot of issues by lying or being lazy. But shes not perfect either , she lies and manipulates too, and she causes some trouble by worrying so much about appearances, doing things to impress other women with the phony representation of her own household and trying to live how magazines say .
And just like real life, they'd both be better of with more communication and honesty
This episode just proved how much of a brat Marie can be. Debra finally makes something good and it's killing her. I'm surprised that nobody ever called Marie a spoiled brat, especially Debra.
The way she was swatting his backside he shoulda thought "I better save some of this for after when I've worked up an appetite."
Marie throwing down the fork and walking out without saying a word. Sometimes the best writing is no writing.
Exactly! The art of “show, don’t tell”
Marie was so terrible lol
Yes she was. Horrible person.
@Nocturne22 That's great acting.
@@MuhammadImHardBruceLee precisely
Such a brat.
I’m blessed and grateful and thankful to be a very good cook. I think exceptional cooks take their cooking skills for granted; some people just don’t know how to cook!
So funny. The old man is a riot...
i friggin love the audience's reaction!
Marie was so childish and petty on this episode, she couldn't let Deborah have this ONE thing....
Plus, that braciole looked good, I'd want to try it myself 😋
Marie controls them all with food, when Frank suggest she should get Debra to teach her how to make it was like Frank cheating on her she lost control because everyone wanted Debra's food I can't spell it
There's also the episode where Debra wanted to learn her meatball recipe. She taught her it...but she couldn't handle feared Ray wouldn't come over anymore because of her cooking as we learn. If Debra could make it. So she sabotaged one of the ingredients by putting a fake label on it. So it was the strange taste in the recipe. Debra even said she was an 'evil genius'....as it even looks like basil. Ray was defending her until that point....and even he confronted his mother on it.
@@SashGirl34 I watched that episode a few days ago, Ray may have confronted Marie byt he backed down when she turned on the crocodile tears so it was pointless. If Ray were a real man he would have told Marie what she did to Debra was wrong, she owes her an apology and until she can respect Debra he won't be coming over again that would have been a clear message to Marie her behaviour won't be tolerated. Instead he felt sorry for her. I love this show but watching it back as an adult I absolutely hate Marie and Ray, Marie because of how she treats Debra and I hate Ray because he always makes excuses for and defends Marie whilst gaslighting Debra into taking the blame and keeping quiet to protect Marie's feelings when she doesn't give a fuck about anyone else's feelings especially Debra's.
@@wickedwitchoftheeast88 Ray is a Mama's boy. He's heavily favorited by his mother...and we know Marie is very manipulate. It's why he can't stand up to her. Debra even address she has a sick hold on them...and was trying to get Amy to rebel. Once she married Robert. But Amy ended up getting manipulated as well...Debra even addressed 'She's gone.' I think it was part of the humor.
@@SashGirl34 I agree with you but it would have been good if the writers had shown Marie being put in her place a lot more often than she was. The show is a very good example of dysfunctional families especially narcissistic mother's like Marie I'd go as far to say that its emotional incest between Marie and Ray. As for Ray I get he's been conditioned by Marie but he's also manipulative as well and incredibly lazy, he expects and wants Debra to be like Marie and do everything for him thats why he always runs to mommy because he knows Marie will do everything that's why he also puts her and her feelings before Debra because gets something out of it. I could never be married to a man like Ray it would really turn me off knowing my husband is so fearful of hurting his mother that he's happy to stand by whilst mommy abuses his wife
One of the best sitcoms ever. ❤
2nd taste, is even better, since my tongue aint scared

Patricia Heaton was such a ridiculously effective performer on this show. Am I the only one that literally feels happy that she's so happy Ray likes her cooking lol?
Remember watching this show as a kid
Am a chef, my wife is a nurse. She loves watching cooking shows. I run my own business and sadly I don’t really sit down and eat. But my wife always makes me food, I noticed her highlight of the day is when I stop working and focus on her cooking and me enjoying it
I L♡VE the character of " Debra " so much that because of her I watch the show now.
Her tolerance, patience, perseverance towards the Barone family ; especially marie 🙄 is just great......

I once was knew a woman who thought she was the only one who knew how to cook. I never said anything about it but one time we were making a big meal for a crowd and went shopping for all the stuff she started to pick up gravy in a jar and I said why are we getting that and she said do you know how to make gravy( very sarcastic) I said I did and when we fix this big meal for this gathering everyone was asking who made the gravy because it was so good. 😂

Every time i finish eating some weekly special. I say to her- " You have outdone yourself."
She gets annoyed with the same line of compliments
The actress who played Ray’s mom did a great job, I really used to dislike her character so much
I have found that people who cook and take their cooking seriously are often like Marie to some extent. They'll think recipes are for amateurs. If they cook something for you and you try to add salt or pepper to it they'll get offended (Marie did that in at least one other episode). They rarely (if ever) complement anything that anyone else cooks. I used to work with a guy who was like that. As far as he was concerned, no one knew how to make chili, cheesecakes, or pies better than him.
I am so glad I have reached the stage in life where I no longer tolerate toxic people like Marie. No matter how close a family member they are. These men had zero balls.
Amen to that!

I didn't know how to cook when I got married. But with practice and some cooking shows I learned it. My family love my food. But I know it would be different if I had a Marie coming every day to insult my food that would be hell. Poor Debra.
Are they all sharing the same fork???
I didn't think about the relationship dynamics watching this show when it originally aired as a tween/teen, but I really feel bad for Debra watching it as an adult.
Colonel Mustard
If this was a real life scenario, Marie is evil, jealous & competitive. A good mother in law would encourage and be happy for their daughter in law making new dishes.
When the Internet came along, my mother, who had always been the hub of our family's information network, the one who had the calendar and the schedule and the birthdays all the important dates, became redundant.
Now that we could all call each other, text each other and connect, her role as coordinator wasn't necessary anymore.
It must have hurt.
