Please let me know if you plan to attend. Please enjoy the spectacular music and charming Victorian homes of Ocean Grove, NJ. Ocean Grove is an unincorporated community located within Neptune Township, Monmouth County, New Jersey and located on the Atlantic Ocean's Jersey Shore. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Ocean Grove is noted for its abundant examples of Victorian architecture and the Great Auditorium, acclaimed as the state’s most wondrous wooden structure. Ocean Grove was founded in 1869 as an outgrowth of the camp meeting movement in the United States, when a group of Methodist clergymen formed the Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association to develop and operate a summer camp meeting site on the New Jersey seashore. The community's land is still owned by the camp meeting association and leased to individual homeowners and businesses. Ocean Grove remains the longest-active camp meeting site in the United States.
This sounds like the making of a great evening and it's free too! Wow! "There's no air conditioning, but hopefully it won't be too hot." You are too funny!🤣 Maybe we should all bring a hand fan just in case and it could read "Old Curiosity Shop" so we can spot everyone in the community? Thanks for the invite! We love listening to your music!
Thank you for sharing this, it reminds me of the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, which was originally built as a church, acoustics in an old wooden building are amazing. We lived just outside Nashville but went to the Grand Ole Opry from time to time, they would also have gospel music programs.
Thanks for the heads-up Scott! Work commitments will probably prevent me from attending, so make sure you snap lots of pictures and record plenty of footage for RUclips!
@@carmensitler1286 I would probably go to priceline or booking.com and see what’s available right there in Ocean Grove but if you can’t find anything there are plenty of hotels on the highway just outside of Ocean Grove

I feel like a girl in again. Only thing missing was my mommom preaching behind her pulpit. ❤
See you there! Then we'll go to Day's for ice cream!!
Thank you so much Scott! I’ve been waiting for you to share more on this. Where do you recommend to stay? Looking up hotels as I write this
Ocean Grove basically has rooming houses so if you’re looking for a hotel you would have to stay nearby.
@@oldcuriosityshop265 how do I find information on the rooming houses, to reserve a room?
