Safeway added to Seattle's Fresh Bucks program

Using money from its controversial soda tax, Seattle is now taking its "fresh bucks" food program to local Safeway stores. The program gives low-income residents a financial incentive to opt for fresh fruits and vegetables, instead of less-healthy choices.
