I feel like a lot of people think of pi as a big number, but really it's just slightly over 3, so I don't think it would take very long to reach this lap
you have to clip into the floor during lap 3 and make it to the backrooms, which would probably actually be kinda hard considering pizza face is chasing after you while you're trying to clip through the ground.
With name and all it kinda gives me the vibes of an "endless mode". You've completely Lap 3 and tried for another in your hubris, but as you reach the end you see the exit is gone and now you've no choice but to keep outrunning Pizzaface for as long as you can endure.
after the 100 laps to get rank Z the best of the best you have the option to go to another lap portal wich will make it so there is no exit door and its an endurance test against pizza face
During Lap 3, a hidden Lap π portal will activate. Upon entering it, Pizzaface despawns, and the WAR timer pops up. Your objective is to do as many laps as you can before time runs out, each lap you complete adds more time to the timer. If you run out of time, you are teleported back to lap 3 and can continue from there.
Idea for how this could work in game: Lap Pi would take place after Lap 3 (Since Pi is just 3.14). Instead of the score going down by 5 every second it would go UP by five. Every time Peppino does another lap this number will multiply, so for example Lap 4 is +5, Lap 5 is +10, Lap 6 is +20 and so on. This would give extremely high risk but a huge payoff. Furthermore, the WAR timer would appear but give the player a generous amount of time to get to the next lap. The timer would reset every new lap is taken. This is so the player can’t just dodge Pizza Face forever and farm points. You gotta earn that shit.

The fact that people tried to strecth the lap counter way past lap 3 ruined the fun of lap 3 so I like the idea of dialing it back a little My idea for this is that it's an endless lap where everything respawns infinitely, but nothing you do inside of the lap counts towards your combo, score, or rank, and if you get caught by pizzaface you get kicked to the door at the start while keeping everything instead of getting kicked out of the level, and every 100 points you get in lap pi count as 1 point to your regular score, getting tallied after you get caught, kinda like a highscore challenge
I imagine this would be the thing between lap 3 and 4, where the level distorts and changes, and if you fall in a mysterious pit you go back one room (or one checkpoint if there was already pits), and if you beat lap Pi you move onto lap 4, but also get that level's gimmicks, soundtrack, tile pallette, and certain enemies to make your own levels, or sandbox and toy around with the things. I'd also feel it would have a threshold to get to lap Pi, or it skips to lap 4. I'd say you would at least need S rank to come across it.
The level twists into an distorted hellscape, many rooms start to loop if you don't find secret exits out of them, it is an ordeal to navigate them. Everything you knew about the once welcoming and comfortable level has been thrown out the window.

Just imagine you're getting to lap 4 but then gets tp to the back rooms as you are in a lap with a number infinitely bigger than 3 but infinitely smaller than 4
Best part is it’s technically possible to implement this as a game mechanic because you can give it like a very small chance to happen after three laps
Yeah, Pillar John’s Revenge and Absolute AbsurZiti are really, REALLY good songs, but when you start getting past them to the seemingly low-effort Lap 5 and beyond songs, they really aren’t as good and lose the Pizza Tower charm.
It's a bit surprising how few fan songs take the later laps seriously. One of my favorite later-lap tracks is Spook Lass' "Moon-Eyed Madness" for Lap 7.
I love the idea of an backrooms lap You accidentally run through a wall in the middle of a lap and get into the level, the timer is constantly changing numbers and the only thing chasing you are hallucinations, and if they catch up to us then peppino goes insane There are no exits but there are multiple lap portals that lead to different levels Depending on the interpretation this could either be an endless lap where peppino just runs through the backrooms forever Or he finds an level that could somehow take him back to the pizza tower
Little did Peppino know the secret to freedom was to increase his velocity so much that one step traveled beyond the bounding box of the wall faster than reality could update his collision data.
i like the idea of an endless mode where you stay on pizza time (lap 3 maybe?) for as much time as possible until pizzaface catches you. as the time goes on, other laps' mechanics will trigger like snick.exe and the war timer (as seen in lap 4)
actually, i think this should be it's own level, being as the backrooms are infinite, the backrooms level is going to be like some kind of endless mode which you can leave at whatever time you want, it would be like the randomizer mod's randomizer level where you have the war timer instead of normal, the one that you can "refuel"
My idea for Lap Pi was that once you've completed Lap 3, you can either leave the stage, continue to Lap 4 through the level's Lap 2 entrance, or enter the portal right above the exit door to enter Lap Pi. Once in Lap Pi, you would be locked into an infinite loop of running from Pizzaface and getting as many laps as you can before Pizzaface catches you, or at least some players might think that, however if you get a super high Lap count before getting caught, Peppino would start to grow more insane with every passing Lap, meaning you would start getting faster, Peppino's control would start getting wonky, enemies would start getting new attacks and changed color palettes, Pizzaface would get new attacks as well, so sort of like a call-back to the now scrapped heat meter from some demos of Pizza Tower. Once Peppino had gone insane enough, he would be so fast that he would escape Lap Pi, giving a Pi Rank. There could be a Chef's Task (Achievement) for getting all Pi Ranks in a floor.
I imagine that, to activate Lap π, there'd be in a level, breakable blocks, leading to a hidden room that seemingly has nothing in it. but upon completing Lap 2 and going to Lap 3, and going into that rooim, a Pizza, which is cut in such a way that it's angle is exactly π° (or 3.14), and upon going into it, Lap π would activate. upon completing th level, as you would, you would notice that the door is gone, and upon reaching near it, this song would begin playing as a pizza-like arrow points for you to play the level forwards, instead of backwards. upon doing so, you'd finally be able to complete Lap π, and you'd be teleported back to the room you found the Lap π portal at, but as soon as you get out of it, a pizza cutter would appear, and cut it to pieces, making it fall out of the screen, never to be seen again.
That's actually kinda interesting And scary Like, you weren't ever supposed to see that place, so it points you to get out from where you came, and then the teleporter pizza is destroyed
*Lap π:* Accomplished by reaching Lap 3, then if you manage to enter the lapping portal from any side other than the front. This will not initiate the next lap unless you attempt to touch the portal again, but finding and hitting a technical difficulty boundary in the level or entering the Pillar John room if there are none will trigger Lap π. This will send you to a backroom-like arena with subtle hints and layout changes based on the level you were in, and a timer will appear at the bottom of the screen. You will have to navigate your way through this level, killing as many enemies as you can before the timer runs out, and killing as much enemies as humanly possible will grant you a π rank, or π+ rank if you had a P rank before touching the portal. You will be given your combo back if you lost it on the way to the Lap π arena, and will be teleported into Lap 4 as if it hadn't happened, your only remnant being the rank.
My mechanic idea is that at one point in lap 3, since pi is 3.14, the gameplay stops to show a cutscene of peppino and pizzaface looking at a crumbling ground benath them. (the room is crumbling because peppino destroyed pillar john, the support beam to the tower.)the ground gives way underneath pizzaface and peppino. Peppino starts falling, but since pizzaface can fly, he just shrugs and floats down too. This then leads to whole new area to escape from while dodging pizzaface. Once you reach the ladder, you are teleported back to lap 3, and things continue like normal.

As you run though lap 3, you accidentaly jump over the lap 4 portal, noclipping into lap pi, as you start wandering, you notice pizzaface is nowhere to be found. After hours of wandering, you get frustrated at thenfact the rooms are repeating. All of a sudden, Peppino screams at the top of his lungs. Your dash speed has doubled, and you can now break through the mono-yellow walls at hypersonic speeds. You emerge through the lap room of the level you entered from. You are free.
id imagine this would play when you get to the last lap you limited yourself, in the lap room there would be a lap 2 item like seen in earlytestbuild peppino would go fucking batshit insane seeing that lap 2 item and knowing he has to go backwards through every lap he went through, getting mach 5 and some overpowered ahh abilities as the level crumbles and a real timer appears indicating that the level cant handle peppino anymore and is breaking apart. unlike the war timer this one doesnt reset after every lap

This could be a secret lap if you enter the treasure room in lap 3. In there instead of the treasure it will be a pizza portal (like the lap 2 portal) and it will send you to lap PI where you can farm laps. Oh and also pizzaface and snick.exe will be there cuz why not. And if you do 69 laps in there you will get a secret achievement called "the funny number" because it is the funny number and also after doing 69 laps in there the door will finally spawn but the fog is coming. If you survive lap PI then you will be rewarded with an achievement called "backrooms pro-gamer"
I imagine this being a rare replacement for lap 3 (lap 3 rarely spawns too.), it would be in the mysterious pizza area just like lap 2, but it would be very tall, (as a reference to how long pi is.) and when you enter it, you get hit into the backrooms map as shown. It would be very long and Pizzafaces number would count down from 3 all the way down from top to bottom, (obviously really fast.) and when you leave you actually get Pizzaface in the negative time and he never spawns, pretty neat idea? Add extra ideas in the reply areas.
Stupid idea but: TV gets a voiceline, (reference from pizza tower online snicks challenge), ”we here at PTV (pizza tv) have reported several rooms leading into eachother, some floors becoming binary of 1s and 0s, and people noclipping into corners. i agree with the comment above but you should make it so you can't actually escape and there's only 1 way to get out without closing the tab: accidentally noclipping, 1/314159265 chance, if you do you return to the normal level and it's replaced with Lap 3.
y'know i got an idea based off a comment i saw on lap 4 so the original comment said something along the lines of "the door caves in and you need to take any chance you get to chip away at the rubble and make an opening" this would fit the laps after lap 4 where you repeatedly return to the door to try and open it up OR alternatively, the door would just stay caved in and you just have to lap as much as possible until you inevitably get caught

because of the animation seen in the video, i can imagine this playing during some kind of backrooms level as you can never escape kinda like an endless mode full of randomly generated levels and enemies that are exclusive to the level, and each lap the backrooms level changes progressively getting harder basically just do 69420 laps and win :troll:
This has to be one of my favorite fan lap songs of pizza tower. Just the feeling at 0:65 is UNCOMPARED. I love so much about this and it's been stuck in my head for HOURS! Amazing job!

I think this would be a good theme for a time attack side mode. You have to run through a randomly generated endless level and you destroy the war! computers to add time and as it goes on more stuff is added to the screen.

This is how I'd imagine Lap Pi to go: In one of the levels, the Pizza Portal is looking a little sketchy, flickering and glitching. Something is clearly up, but nevertheless you hop in for that sweet P rank. Wait... This isn't where Pillar John's room... Where are you? What the hell is "Lap Pi?" The timer vanishes, and a glitchy Pizza Face is hot on your tail! You instinctively start dashing right, and some on-screen text just says "Survive!" You wonder why, but as you keep charging down this hallway, it dawns on you... _the level has turned into an infinite runner._ When you inevitably fail, the usual Try Again screen switches to static right before the letters drop, and it switches to the ranking screen as if you made it to the exit. **P Rank. You did it.**
you get into this lap by entering a fake lap 2 pizza made of cardboard on lap 4 located relatively near the john pillar afterwards you get transported to a somewhat future where the level is abandoned or broken, there are hazzards such as falling bricks, ghost john pillar and cheese like background afterwards you get an M rank it's orange

you can only access lap pi if you find all three secrets in the level beforehand (on any run, not just the one you're getting pi-rank on). if you do so and get to lap 3, a second "pi" portal will appear at about a tenth of the length of a lap from the lap's start. once you go through the pi portal, you enter a strange alternate version of the level - things are flipped, twisted, and melted, like something that would be in fake peppino's nightmares. even if you go for another lap, it won't be the normal lap four, it'll be lap pi plus one (or, in other words, lap 4.14...). unless you enter the anti-pi-world portal that's about a tenth of a lap's length away from the _finish_ (thereby sending you back into the integer laps) or you exit the level completely, you will stay in this twisted alternate world. if you exit the level from within the pi world, you will get the pi-rank, no matter how many combos you miss while inside. if you complete three laps inside the pi world (so you're on lap 6.14...), you can enter the tau world through another pi portal in the same place as the original one the tau world looks like a geometry dash level, with abstract shapes and colorful lineart dominating the aesthetic. snick.exe is there in place of pizzaface. if you exit the level from within the tau world, you get the tau rank. if you pi-rank every level, you get an outfit called "pi power" that's just the digits of pi as a texture. if you tau-rank every level, you get an outfit called "something is wrong with you" with a cyan grid on a black background.
Perhaps this could be triggered by entering a specific secret room on lap 3 after you cleared it in a lap prior, kind of causing you to enter a perpetual limbo state where you can run an endless gauntlet until you perish? Here’s a pretty good mod idea. There are already mods that give us a lap 3 and 4, but wouldn’t it be cool if there was a chance you would fall into the backrooms when going to do your 4th lap. Then there would be a high score meter that tells you how many laps you’ve done and each lap you complete, the level would get progressively harder. Maybe if you reach a certain amount of laps you could get out. (Sorry for the Paragraph)
how to enter: during lap three you have to find the broken pizza cutter that will be in the johnitor treasure room, you have to get the treasure on the first lap or else it wont be there, then carry it to the lap 4 portal and cut the portal with it, then you are in.

I feel like a lot of people think of pi as a big number, but really it's just slightly over 3, so I don't think it would take very long to reach this lap

With name and all it kinda gives me the vibes of an "endless mode". You've completely Lap 3 and tried for another in your hubris, but as you reach the end you see the exit is gone and now you've no choice but to keep outrunning Pizzaface for as long as you can endure.
There's a mod for that I think, it's called Lap Hell
after the 100 laps to get rank Z the best of the best you have the option to go to another lap portal wich will make it so there is no exit door and its an endurance test against pizza face

During Lap 3, a hidden Lap π portal will activate. Upon entering it, Pizzaface despawns, and the WAR timer pops up. Your objective is to do as many laps as you can before time runs out, each lap you complete adds more time to the timer. If you run out of time, you are teleported back to lap 3 and can continue from there.
This is actually the best Lap π idea i've seen yet.

Idea for how this could work in game:
Lap Pi would take place after Lap 3 (Since Pi is just 3.14). Instead of the score going down by 5 every second it would go UP by five. Every time Peppino does another lap this number will multiply, so for example Lap 4 is +5, Lap 5 is +10, Lap 6 is +20 and so on. This would give extremely high risk but a huge payoff.
Furthermore, the WAR timer would appear but give the player a generous amount of time to get to the next lap. The timer would reset every new lap is taken. This is so the player can’t just dodge Pizza Face forever and farm points. You gotta earn that shit.

The fact that people tried to strecth the lap counter way past lap 3 ruined the fun of lap 3 so I like the idea of dialing it back a little
My idea for this is that it's an endless lap where everything respawns infinitely, but nothing you do inside of the lap counts towards your combo, score, or rank, and if you get caught by pizzaface you get kicked to the door at the start while keeping everything instead of getting kicked out of the level, and every 100 points you get in lap pi count as 1 point to your regular score, getting tallied after you get caught, kinda like a highscore challenge
an actual fucking good fanmade lap theme
I imagine this would be the thing between lap 3 and 4, where the level distorts and changes, and if you fall in a mysterious pit you go back one room (or one checkpoint if there was already pits), and if you beat lap Pi you move onto lap 4, but also get that level's gimmicks, soundtrack, tile pallette, and certain enemies to make your own levels, or sandbox and toy around with the things. I'd also feel it would have a threshold to get to lap Pi, or it skips to lap 4. I'd say you would at least need S rank to come across it.
The level twists into an distorted hellscape, many rooms start to loop if you don't find secret exits out of them, it is an ordeal to navigate them. Everything you knew about the once welcoming and comfortable level has been thrown out the window.
Also during running from the infinite level fake peppino starts chasing you if you stay for 6 minutes or more

Yeah, Pillar John’s Revenge and Absolute AbsurZiti are really, REALLY good songs, but when you start getting past them to the seemingly low-effort Lap 5 and beyond songs, they really aren’t as good and lose the Pizza Tower charm.
It's a bit surprising how few fan songs take the later laps seriously. One of my favorite later-lap tracks is Spook Lass' "Moon-Eyed Madness" for Lap 7.

Little did Peppino know the secret to freedom was to increase his velocity so much that one step traveled beyond the bounding box of the wall faster than reality could update his collision data.
i like the idea of an endless mode where you stay on pizza time (lap 3 maybe?) for as much time as possible until pizzaface catches you. as the time goes on, other laps' mechanics will trigger like snick.exe and the war timer (as seen in lap 4)
What would lap 5 be like, would the war timer be reset? This already sounds very hard. How do you make it harder without it being impossible?

actually, i think this should be it's own level, being as the backrooms are infinite, the backrooms level is going to be like some kind of endless mode which you can leave at whatever time you want, it would be like the randomizer mod's randomizer level where you have the war timer instead of normal, the one that you can "refuel"

One of those infinite lap mods, but every lap you get a 1% chance too come here per a lap
(I.E 1% for lap 1, 2% for lap 2, 3% for lap 3 etc.)
My idea for Lap Pi was that once you've completed Lap 3, you can either leave the stage, continue to Lap 4 through the level's Lap 2 entrance, or enter the portal right above the exit door to enter Lap Pi. Once in Lap Pi, you would be locked into an infinite loop of running from Pizzaface and getting as many laps as you can before Pizzaface catches you, or at least some players might think that, however if you get a super high Lap count before getting caught, Peppino would start to grow more insane with every passing Lap, meaning you would start getting faster, Peppino's control would start getting wonky, enemies would start getting new attacks and changed color palettes, Pizzaface would get new attacks as well, so sort of like a call-back to the now scrapped heat meter from some demos of Pizza Tower. Once Peppino had gone insane enough, he would be so fast that he would escape Lap Pi, giving a Pi Rank. There could be a Chef's Task (Achievement) for getting all Pi Ranks in a floor.

I imagine that, to activate Lap π, there'd be in a level, breakable blocks, leading to a hidden room that seemingly has nothing in it.
but upon completing Lap 2 and going to Lap 3, and going into that rooim, a Pizza, which is cut in such a way that it's angle is exactly π° (or 3.14), and upon going into it, Lap π would activate.
upon completing th level, as you would, you would notice that the door is gone, and upon reaching near it, this song would begin playing as a pizza-like arrow points for you to play the level forwards, instead of backwards.
upon doing so, you'd finally be able to complete Lap π, and you'd be teleported back to the room you found the Lap π portal at, but as soon as you get out of it, a pizza cutter would appear, and cut it to pieces, making it fall out of the screen, never to be seen again.

Accomplished by reaching Lap 3, then if you manage to enter the lapping portal from any side other than the front. This will not initiate the next lap unless you attempt to touch the portal again, but finding and hitting a technical difficulty boundary in the level or entering the Pillar John room if there are none will trigger Lap π. This will send you to a backroom-like arena with subtle hints and layout changes based on the level you were in, and a timer will appear at the bottom of the screen. You will have to navigate your way through this level, killing as many enemies as you can before the timer runs out, and killing as much enemies as humanly possible will grant you a π rank, or π+ rank if you had a P rank before touching the portal. You will be given your combo back if you lost it on the way to the Lap π arena, and will be teleported into Lap 4 as if it hadn't happened, your only remnant being the rank.
My mechanic idea is that at one point in lap 3, since pi is 3.14, the gameplay stops to show a cutscene of peppino and pizzaface looking at a crumbling ground benath them. (the room is crumbling because peppino destroyed pillar john, the support beam to the tower.)the ground gives way underneath pizzaface and peppino. Peppino starts falling, but since pizzaface can fly, he just shrugs and floats down too. This then leads to whole new area to escape from while dodging pizzaface. Once you reach the ladder, you are teleported back to lap 3, and things continue like normal.

As you run though lap 3, you accidentaly jump over the lap 4 portal, noclipping into lap pi, as you start wandering, you notice pizzaface is nowhere to be found.
After hours of wandering, you get frustrated at thenfact the rooms are repeating. All of a sudden, Peppino screams at the top of his lungs. Your dash speed has doubled, and you can now break through the mono-yellow walls at hypersonic speeds.
You emerge through the lap room of the level you entered from. You are free.
We got lap 100, Lap Pi...now we need Lap 0, Lap -1 and more

id imagine this would play when you get to the last lap you limited yourself, in the lap room there would be a lap 2 item like seen in earlytestbuild peppino would go fucking batshit insane seeing that lap 2 item and knowing he has to go backwards through every lap he went through, getting mach 5 and some overpowered ahh abilities as the level crumbles and a real timer appears indicating that the level cant handle peppino anymore and is breaking apart. unlike the war timer this one doesnt reset after every lap

In there instead of the treasure it will be a pizza portal (like the lap 2 portal) and it will send you to lap PI where you can farm laps. Oh and also pizzaface and snick.exe will be there cuz why not. And if you do 69 laps in there you will get a secret achievement called "the funny number" because it is the funny number and also after doing 69 laps in there the door will finally spawn but the fog is coming. If you survive lap PI then you will be rewarded with an achievement called "backrooms pro-gamer"
Lap Pi literally just makes the entire level crumble apart (blocks falling out of the ceiling, enemies getting trapped in sinkholes, etc.)

I imagine this being a rare replacement for lap 3 (lap 3 rarely spawns too.), it would be in the mysterious pizza area just like lap 2, but it would be very tall, (as a reference to how long pi is.) and when you enter it, you get hit into the backrooms map as shown. It would be very long and Pizzafaces number would count down from 3 all the way down from top to bottom, (obviously really fast.) and when you leave you actually get Pizzaface in the negative time and he never spawns, pretty neat idea? Add extra ideas in the reply areas.
Stupid idea but: TV gets a voiceline, (reference from pizza tower online snicks challenge), ”we here at PTV (pizza tv) have reported several rooms leading into eachother, some floors becoming binary of 1s and 0s, and people noclipping into corners. Whatever that means.”

i agree with the comment above but you should make it so you can't actually escape and there's only 1 way to get out without closing the tab: accidentally noclipping, 1/314159265 chance, if you do you return to the normal level and it's replaced with Lap 3.

The timer vanishes, and a glitchy Pizza Face is hot on your tail! You instinctively start dashing right, and some on-screen text just says "Survive!" You wonder why, but as you keep charging down this hallway, it dawns on you... _the level has turned into an infinite runner._
When you inevitably fail, the usual Try Again screen switches to static right before the letters drop, and it switches to the ranking screen as if you made it to the exit. **P Rank. You did it.**

It's a joke because Pi is infitnite and we're turning the laps into last breath
Instead of going in the lap 2 portal, manually walk back to where John was
you can only access lap pi if you find all three secrets in the level beforehand (on any run, not just the one you're getting pi-rank on). if you do so and get to lap 3, a second "pi" portal will appear at about a tenth of the length of a lap from the lap's start. once you go through the pi portal, you enter a strange alternate version of the level - things are flipped, twisted, and melted, like something that would be in fake peppino's nightmares.
even if you go for another lap, it won't be the normal lap four, it'll be lap pi plus one (or, in other words, lap 4.14...). unless you enter the anti-pi-world portal that's about a tenth of a lap's length away from the _finish_ (thereby sending you back into the integer laps) or you exit the level completely, you will stay in this twisted alternate world.
if you exit the level from within the pi world, you will get the pi-rank, no matter how many combos you miss while inside.
if you complete three laps inside the pi world (so you're on lap 6.14...), you can enter the tau world through another pi portal in the same place as the original one
the tau world looks like a geometry dash level, with abstract shapes and colorful lineart dominating the aesthetic. snick.exe is there in place of pizzaface. if you exit the level from within the tau world, you get the tau rank.
if you pi-rank every level, you get an outfit called "pi power" that's just the digits of pi as a texture. if you tau-rank every level, you get an outfit called "something is wrong with you" with a cyan grid on a black background.
when you reach this lap, its only just running from pizzaface, there is no such thing as a door.

Perhaps this could be triggered by entering a specific secret room on lap 3 after you cleared it in a lap prior, kind of causing you to enter a perpetual limbo state where you can run an endless gauntlet until you perish? Only by maintaining P-Rank status you can keep the exit open so you can try to just go for an ultimate high score? Could be really fun imo.

Here’s a pretty good mod idea. There are already mods that give us a lap 3 and 4, but wouldn’t it be cool if there was a chance you would fall into the backrooms when going to do your 4th lap. Then there would be a high score meter that tells you how many laps you’ve done and each lap you complete, the level would get progressively harder. Maybe if you reach a certain amount of laps you could get out. (Sorry for the Paragraph)

how to enter: during lap three you have to find the broken pizza cutter that will be in the johnitor treasure room, you have to get the treasure on the first lap or else it wont be there, then carry it to the lap 4 portal and cut the portal with it, then you are in.
