- The Philippines adventure has kicked off with Episode 1... Traveling by motorcycle on a loud Triumph Scrambler 1200, escaping the traffic of Metro Manila to Baler, Aurora via Bongabon, Nueva Ecija. I got to go tropical beach camping for the very first time, with Filipino ADV riders and fellow creators, at our destination in Dibut Bay, San Luis.
It was an incredible start to a crazy unforgettable road trip. The Philippines is truly a gem for driving bliss and motorcycle tourism.

I’m a Filipino born & raised in Montreal, Canada. The last time I was in the Philippines about 20 years ago, I was 17 and just got my drivers license. Since then, I always told myself I would “never drive in the Philippines” knowing how busy, and crowded the roads are.
I’ve visited and ride bikes in Japan, and a few European countries, so I know what it’s like to drive while adapting to foreign rules. Up until watching this video, I still had no interest in riding in the Philippines.
I’m actually now very excited to visit (hopefully in the upcoming year) and RIDE in my home country, especially in Nueva Ecija, where my in-laws are from.
Thank you so much for shining light on riding on Philippine city roads, as well as the country.

Riding in Northern Luzon is very different compare to the Metro Manila, you should try when you come back here in the Philippines
Never ride in south or Manila. Go ride North cause you're missing out

Loved it mate. I shared your excitement. I was in MedellÍn, Colombia a few years ago where I hired a Royal Enfield. Heading out into masses of traffic on the opposite side of the road in panic mode. 😬 Once I was up into the mountains though I was grinning from ear to ear it was so amazing. That was until my phone cooked itself and I was left with no communication, no translator and no google maps. Definitely an adventure. 😄

Nice! You really adapted to the riding there, you described it accurately..organized chaos😊I used to ride to Baler a lot from Nueva Ecija. Lots has changed since we left, it used to be all dirt, now looks like most of the roads are paved. Enjoy!
I got more and more accustomed to the flow as the tour progressed and loved it. Must have been mental doing Bongabon unpaved!

Its funny how that scrambler looks like a modernn iteration of a 70s Honda Scrambler which is my dads first bike and which I got the bike bug from seeing him and my mom on it!

I have just added to my garage with a Himalayan 450, it’s first trip (still running in - 250 miles so far) was to the ABR festival where I did my first attempt at off-roading, which included an off, courtesy of a deep double rut with the rider behind riding over my leg too. Great fun 🤣, 61 may be considered too old to start but hey I am keen for more.
Ahh the ruts will get ya! I hope your legs ok. I tried the 450 Himalayan in the Himalayas after riding the 411 for for a week. What an improvement! I'm sure it'll treat you well

2023, made the journey to Baler from Manila, on a Bajaj NS160. Traversed the Bongabon mountain range. That trip is one for the books! 🫰🏽
