I remember being impressed with the futuristic, compact design and convenience of its cartridges. Shame it made no sense otherwise, largely because it was released too late and was underpowered in comparison to the competition of the time. I'd still have one as an ornament on the mantle piece for nostalgia's sake.
You mean the Commodore 64 GS? That would be the equivalent of Amstrad's keyboardless offering. Also sadly a bit of a flop for predictable reasons. Not that we should underestimate gamers' desire to take the next media format leap away from cassettes at the time.
This scene was a gem.
Great character was Pete
Great moment.
I loved Arthur.
Pete was a way better character than his wimpy son
Loved this console.

@@dreamkatcha I liked the Commodor too.

@@dreamkatcha I liked the C64 as a kid. Flymbos Quest, Cobra
@@dreamkatcha Spike In Transylvania was another C64 classic. Taxi back to the 80s please.
Christmas '92........poor Martin.
I seem to remember somebody on the market got a job lot of them.
Pete's last Xmas episode if memory serves me right that I remember watching on Drama (Now U&Drama)
The worst name change/rebrand since Twitter became X.
Unsurprisingly, U is Ungoogleable. Madness.
What the bloody hell!!
Long before you were born? I can see how it would look prehistoric. :)
Loved Pete, killed off too early by petty producers. I see a lot of him in Martin though, which is quite nice 😊
Pete beales final Christmas
Yes, I believe soon after he was killed off-screen in a car crash following his criticism of the Beeb.
@dreamkatcha yeah he was killed off in December 1993
The failed Amstrad console.
It's almost as though Alan Sugar knew nothing about the games industry. :|
