Some do some don’t. My relatives have a record valor service all the way back to the independence war. My moms side arrived her in 1739. What I saw was my Grand father was in the Battle of the Bulge, seen many Americans die, never talked about but he had immense love for his country, he re-enlisted for Korea, but never talk about it, I seen him cry one time in my life and that is when we went back to Belgium for an Anniversary of that day, My father was an Combat Controller in the Air Force and seen heavy action with 2 Purple Hearts, he as well loved this country. He never talked about and was fine. I think it is up to every individual, everyone deals with things different. So to label and say everyone had mental issues after war is not true. Yes some have psychological scars and some have physical issues, but I think it’s up to the individual. For some reason to see people that were not even in combat but were stationed 2000miles from any combat to now claim PTSD is dishonest and really minimizes the ones that were in heated fire fights and saw heavy fighting, where does it stop, people making these claims are taking from the ones that do need help, and financial assistance. People will try to get over to make a buck, it really pisses me off, they stealing and minimizing those that did see and deal with a lot.
I so agree my grandfather was Cree (First Nation)and fought both wars and what thanks did he get none? He ended up blind because of the war he was basically shoved in a room and not cared for with any compassion or love. When he got back, the racism started all over again and he was treated lesser man . Not only did he suffer from the wars he also had to endure, losing his kids to residential schools
I was in 1 of Iraqs longest CQC fights in 2004. I have more training for combat than these men had, but I still cannot fathom what these men and families would have had to have went through in the trenches.
My great grandfather served in ww1, he was in a cavalry regiment. He was badly wounded but survived, he was never the same though apparently, he unfortunately found peace at the bottom of a bottle and died still a middle aged man. From the little he spoke about it, I think it was the suffering and brutality towards the horses that destroyed him, he loved horses. RIP great grandfather, thank you.
If only you knew what horrors they went through and countless deaths that occured, that the useless government at the time and since, have caused countless lives, and do they care? No they don't care a toss.
Hi from Canada..…God Bless this very young man….I’m 76 , when I was a young girl my grandmother used to tell me about her baby brother Paddy…In world War 1 He “joined up” at 15 but said he was 16… no computers in those days to check up, but then it wouldn’t have mattered….He was in the trenches for 4 years. In 1939 he served in World War 2…. I wonder what the young man in this video would think of the young people of today, who still consider themselves ‘kids’ well into their 20s. 🇨🇦✝️🇬🇧

This hits me even harder because my great-grandfather fought in WW1. I was told he never spoke a word about the War to anyone, but on his deathbed...he was shouting the names of his comrades in his sleep. Edit: It is tragic that for days and days up until his death, he shouted the names of his comrades, gun positions, and so on. What all these men went through on both sides... is far beyond anything most of us can possibly imagine. I wish to share a quote: "The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb." - This means that people who have shed blood together on the battlefield have a stronger bond than familial ties.

@@michaelangelo7511 Much respect to him. He was the same way, a very kind and humorous man by all accounts - but God only knows what he saw and experienced. This is in a movie called “They Shall Never Grow Old”. It is a movie based on the true horror of WW1. The entire movie is restored colorized footage of WW1. They show bodies, give the testimony of the soldiers who fought the gruesome battles, and even gives some insight into how they felt about it all. As a vet, it always breaks my heart to picture the millions of soldiers over the centuries that were forced to have seen and done, what no man was meant to see or do. Let the men who want war, fight it themselves. Our young men have good things to do. Not fight another man’s war!!!

Lo triste es que entre los que murieron no se encontraban los burócratas que los mandaron a pelear esa estupida guerra.
Well said ❤
I so agree my grandfather was Cree (First Nation)and fought both wars and what thanks did he get none? He ended up blind because of the war he was basically shoved in a room and not cared for with any compassion or love.
When he got back, the racism started all over again and he was treated lesser man .
Not only did he suffer from the wars he also had to endure, losing his kids to residential schools
That Soldier has seen a million years in one day❤😢
I was in 1 of Iraqs longest CQC fights in 2004.

This hits me even harder because my great-grandfather fought in WW1. I was told he never spoke a word about the War to anyone, but on his deathbed...he was shouting the names of his comrades in his sleep.

Soldiers don't care about becoming famous lol, they just wanna survive and fight for the freedom of their people.
I'm from India, My maternal great grand father worked as an engineer for the Brits and fought on behalf of GB and went to Germany in 1914. He was like around 34 maybe back then, wish I could I see him for atleast once. He was once in a generation genius in my mother's family. Watching these clips of WW1 makes me think it used to be like that for him.
My grandfather died in ww2 my father never met his dad becasue my grandmother was 8 mo pregnant when he was killed. Sadly he got demoted becasue he attended his 2 yr old sons funeral as they were shipping out he went to his sons funeral and 2 weeks later lost his life. MY dad has 10 children and he never met his grandkids it leaves a hole in your heart.
@@MSHOLLYKAY68 truly! And I'm really sorry to hear that I hope both your grandfather and Father are at peace and in a much better place now 🙏

Well why stop war when u guys see some people not as humans.
Yall always act like yall know these guys personally. You literally have no idea what's going through his mind. Dude could've been crazier than a shxt house rat and loved the war, you never know.

That poor boy looks exhausted, it’s not where you should have been, but we all thank you for your services, you and everyone who is with you 🙏
Your right, he should be walking with his girlfriend going to a picnic, so scared and wants out BAD!!!!
This poor young soldier is exhausted and bewildered. It is so very sad to see.
I just imagine this young mans mother....the day she found out she was pregnant with him, the joy and happiness she and her husband felt. The 9 months of pure love she had for her baby. Then the happiness and love they had when the day he was born...."its a boy" they then named him and had precious moments with him, feeding him, loving him, playing with him, watching him crawl then walk and stmble. Celebrating his 1st Birthday........ little did they know this is where he would end up
same thought goes to the Chinese masseuses here in USA
Makes me sad thinking of the poor parents up to their necks in stress thinking of their babies
This comment got me.... But I Love considering minds as I do often think deeply about others' perspectives ... I tend to be and was made very empathetic and emotionally complex ... And not for nothing with this music playing in the background watching the video and your comment I felt like for a moment I could be his parents or I was observing those moments not really having an image but feeling the, at the same time, simultaneously, having this thought or feeling for all who have lived and how we all can so much relate to those feelings 😢❤

If we’re just guessing …why not? I’m pretty sure he made it alive to then end of the war.

Nein er ist nixht mehr unschuldig. Er ist seelisch und körprlich fertig. Desillusionisiert paßt wohl eher.
Instantly makes me want to cry, these people went through some of the most horrible moments in human history.
And to have all that crumble because of social media telling us we all suck as westerners and to believe tiktok is a legit news source
its christian states vs christian peoples😡😡
