이제 저는 인류 최강의 적, 박박사와의 최종 결전을 눈앞에 두고 있었습니다.
Now I was facing the final battle with mankind's greatest enemy, cockroaches.
한 번 눈에 띈 이상, 바퀴벌레를 잡지 않으면 며칠간 잠을 설치고 찜찜한 기분을 느끼게 될 것이 너무 명확했습니다.
Once I saw the cockroach, it was very clear that if I didn't catch it, I would have trouble sleeping and feel uneasy for several days.
때문에 배수구로 들어간 바퀴벌레의 소재를 정확히 파악하고, 절대 도망치지 못하도록 막는 것은 정말 중요했습니다.
Therefore, it was really important to pinpoint the whereabouts of the cockroach in the drain and prevent it from escaping.
걸름망 틈을 통해 더 아래 배수관으로 도망가는 것도 좋지는 않은 상황이었습니다.
It was also not a good situation to escape to the drain pipe further down through the gap in the drain filter.
무엇보다 최악인 경우는 배수구 뚜껑을 여는 순간 바퀴가 튀어나와서 제 손, 팔을 타고 올라오는 것이었습니다.
The worst of all was that the cockroach would pop out the moment I opened the drain lid and come up on my hands and arms.
이를 막기 위해 결국 저는 수공을 택했습니다.
To prevent this, I eventually chose an attack using water.
그것도 주방세제가 다량 함유된 거품 공격으로 박박사가 정신을 못차리도록 하는 것이 전략이었습니다.
The strategy was to make the cockroach exhausted by foam attacks that contained a lot of dishwashing detergent.
과연 박박사의 최후는 어떻게 되었을까요?
