I love that Cody can no-sell a punch from freaking Jack-X, WITH the cuffs on. Then you remember he considers Akuma a letdown, and suddenly all surprise is gone. XP Loved that moment at the end, even if it's a standard fighting game plot, it was touching to see Cody level with Guy a little, showing their epic bromance still remains under years of jail time.
He has handcuffs on his arms to handicap himself and make the fight more difficult (even though he can take them off very easily). That's holding back.
Erica Apparently accorsing lore: Cody's too OP, that he gives himself a handicap with the handcuffs he wears so he could give his opponents a chance to beat him (and also because of the tragic past that he had) All in all, he's basically Final Fight/Street Fighter/Capcom's rendition of Chuck Norris
@@Xendrick I think in a Street Fighter Alpha manga, he was wiping the floor with Ryu until Ryu awoke the Satsui no Hado. Cody survived but he threw the fight. At least that's how I remember it.
I LOVE CODY. He's my favorite character on the entire street fighter roster, and he isn't even from street fighter! He may be bored as hell, but his personality is the exact opposite in every manner!!! Note: I haven't played SFXT yet, but I have played SSF4. Cody pwns, period. :P
That's too uncool that they keep portraying Cody as a prisoner in every game now. They should get rid of that part of the story, or have it over with. Also, his original Final Fight clothes look cool.
Very nice. I also like how this person waited until the DLC characters came out officially instead of hacking into the disc. I'm thinking about renting the game again on Gamefly and download the characters.
> is a prison guard IRL Let's see...outdated blue- and white-striped inmate jumpsuit which is impractically form-fitting, jumpsuit is a one-piece (which would make strip searches difficult), jumpsuit has no collar, handcuffs _without_ leg irons, handcuffs joined with a chain long enough to allow considerable arm movement (_and_ long enough to choke someone with, _and_ long enough for the inmate to easily jump and get his hands out from behind his back...), handcuffs aren't fitted securely around the wrists, handcuffs don't have a proper locking mechanism with a double-lock keyhole...*what the hell kind of prison were **_you_** in, Cody?* The adult toys section at Spencer's'? But what I _really_ want to know is how he went from the fine, loving, upstanding boyfriend in Final Fight to a convicted felon. Did Mayor Haggar's attitude turn him off to law and order or something?
...heyyyy, that tune at 7:30...that's the theme to the last stage from Final Fight! Man, I _love_ all the Final Fight references in this game. I wonder if anything special happens during a Guy/Cody vs. Poison/Hugo fight....
BloodyBay They don't have any interactions much which relate to the pass, other then winning Cody asking Poison what has she been doing all this time, and the fight almost put him to sleep. The guy who brought up most of the pass was Rolento, imo, since he comments on Cody, Hugo and Poison. Second being Poison, who states she used to fear Cody, making fun that Rolento was still playing soldier, and how Guy didn't change. As for how Cody ended up a convict, he couldn't stop fighting and got arrested, or rather framed by Poison. And he can actually take those change cuffs off at will, as shown in Alpha 3, he just keeps them on so the fight's more of a challenge.
SlasherShade Thanks. I was thinking that those had to have been Cody's own cuffs, since no prison on Earth would be crazy enough to try securing inmates with cuffs like that. ;) I did watch another video about the winquotes, and you're right about the interactions among Guy, Cody, Poison, Hugo and Rolento. I think my favorite Final Fight reference out of all of them is when Hugo beats Hugo, and all he says is "Andore Jr....?". But Rolento's quote to Cody ("That man is long gone...") is made of win too. So now I'm wondering about this Mad Gear Hideout stage. We all remember how Mad Gear was something like your typical multi-ethnic American street gang, albeit with a well-armed Japanophile, a paramilitary dude and a dirty cop on the payroll, and all led by a wheelchair-bound old guy in a highrise...otherwise, just another American street gang. So how come this hideout looks like some Japanese kabuki theatre? Did Sodom somehow take the reins after Belger got thrown out of a skyscraper, maybe?
Sodom did try to reunite the Mad Gear Gang back in Alpha 2. And he did try to take over Shadaloo's base to be use for the new Mad Gear Gang in Alpha 3. Guess he finally brought them together here. But he was mostly treated as a joke in his endings, I would rather have him playable, along with Haggar then just backgrounds camos.
SlasherShade And to think that, among my memories of playing Final Fight, so many of them ended with Sodom being a scary bastich and cutting me down repeatedly in that "Boxing Ring of the Damned" of his. And now he's a joke character. How the mighty have fallen, eh?
Took away all his cool abilities Made him overweight Took away his robot features Took his x-buster away Gave him a gun Put him a slim suit Give him stupid saying like " eat my pellets" or something like that Made him stupid looking Made him have a weird fighting stance Made stupid basically Why couldn't we get X? Thanks for ruining Megaman CapCom
Good thing it isn't Mega Man. This is a deliberate joke by Inafune before leaving the company as a "take that!" To the bullshite direction Capcom's been taking, using the version of Mega Man from the US release of Mega Man 1's boxart, AKA Bad Boxart Mega Man, who's kind of become his own entity at this point.
MagnificantSasquatch I remember when that Mega Man came out. I remembered asking my mom why Mega man looked so sad and fat on the cover. She told me he was sad because this crappy little game cost 50 bucks. Ha!!!!
I think Guy and Cody's relationship is a metaphor for how we're not gonna see another Final Fight game.
+Runaway Pizza and the ending implies a new final fight game
I really hope so...
Nope
I think Cody's epilogue serves as a good lead in to his story in Street Fighter 5
I love that Cody can no-sell a punch from freaking Jack-X, WITH the cuffs on. Then you remember he considers Akuma a letdown, and suddenly all surprise is gone. XP

MagnificantSasquatch Once a bromance always a bromance. Unless bro-code is broken severely
Guy:Warrior speech
Cody:Chilling
He has handcuffs on his arms to handicap himself and make the fight more difficult (even though he can take them off very easily).
That's holding back.
The dynamic duo is back.
4:10 "The hell? I held back plenty." CODY YOU PULLED A KNIFE ON AN EIGHTEEN YEAR OLD GIRL THAT IS NOT HOLDING BACK
Erica Apparently accorsing lore: Cody's too OP, that he gives himself a handicap with the handcuffs he wears so he could give his opponents a chance to beat him (and also because of the tragic past that he had)

@@paperluigi6132 Ah yes, the Satsui no Hado plot armor
Still gave Ryu a run for his money tho so that's honestly still cool

If Cody becomes a good guys again it would be amazing!!
I LOVE CODY. He's my favorite character on the entire street fighter roster, and he isn't even from street fighter! He may be bored as hell, but his personality is the exact opposite in every manner!!!

I would love to see Cody back to his former glory without the prison get up and all.
So thats capcom way of nerfing Cody eh?
A-A-Ron Pre sent you’re getting your wish
I want Capcom to bring Maki,Lucia,Dean,Kyle,Hagger and Carlos in a new street fighter game
Game nostalgic 😢
" you still want a piece of this?" u mean to tell me tht cody has fought bryan at some point before? O.o
The rival music was awesome
Tekken Tag Tournament’s Opening Theme
guy is the best street fighter character
you can feel the disapruval and pain in guy's dialogue at seeing what cody has become
That's too uncool that they keep portraying Cody as a prisoner in every game now. They should get rid of that part of the story, or have it over with. Also, his original Final Fight clothes look cool.
qwertt well yeah having him as a convict can be annoying but its a major part of his story and simply ignoring it is a really poor idea
he should keep his handcuffs since he likes a challenge
Actually he has cuffs on because he's holding back since without them he is overpowered as hell (on par with Oni).
qwertt man one year later and they did what you asked he is mayor of metro city in street fighter V
he became the mayor of Metro City in street figher 5. He is no longer a prisoner.
Ogre looks a lot like Seth.
But not as naked.
Cool Goku color for Guy
i love the after credits ending, it gives me hope that i'll see cody back to his old self, still, i like the prision costume.
*You're borin' the crap outta me...* Hehe, references...
yeah he' s only knifing

I just subbed. Good stuff, man. Thanks for uploading! :)

I think im the only one that guy dub voice actor is a narrator
@Aaron What for? It's hilarious.
Cody has the best fuckin voice!
WTF did they do to Mega Man?
Took away all his cool abilities
Made him overweight
Took away his robot features
Took his x-buster away
Gave him a gun
Put him a slim suit
Give him stupid saying like " eat my pellets" or something like that
Made him stupid looking
Made him have a weird fighting stance
Made stupid basically

Why is Jin and Xiaoyu's voice still in japanese
Thanks :)
WOO excelent :O
Guy vs. Bryan Fury
Nice =D
guy ist the bets karate practice
@Dustin yea cody ken the best

Capcom should be ashamed of themselves for Putting that version of Megaman in this game.
