I used to watch back in like 2010 maybe few years earlier when I was like 20... crazy memories of watching poker after dark after playing home games all day and trying to improve my game lol. Good times.
He's betting the whole time so he problem ruled out the backdoor flush. Probably figured sets are unlikely so he beats everything but a 10. Hard to not pay that off there. The way he played too Franzi always betting there.
Seiver 3 betting with no club was just weird. If chris or negreanu jams there then what?? Odd fold by negreanu when you can tell scott was tilting and just showed 85o a few hands before.
It's funny how poker comes full circle when you get to super high stakes where there are so many trash hands and no one folds when they catch a piece like in super low stakes.
It’s so aggressive that Helmuth style would work because he just concedes very early hoping opponents don’t adapt and continue to protect their range against all the potential bluffs the entire hand.
"Scare check"......love the play by Smith. Does not give a chance for a check raise with possible flush on the board, and still gets the same amount of money.
21:10 what does he think he’s beating there? Pocket 8s? Everything that Gonzales could have called a 4 bet with beats him, except for something crazy like 67s
A bluff? Given he bet so small on the flop and checked the turn and maybe thought Gonzales would take a shot at it on the river. Gonzales had a pretty strange line and didnt value bet the turn after betting the flop so small... he honestly missed a value bet
It's such a dangerous looking board if Berkey hadn't 4-bet pre. Gonzales knows the only way he's losing is if Berkey flopped a bigger set and slow played in a spot where a K or Q showing up is a disaster.
Does anyone know what hand they’re talking about around 16:50? Ali says it’s a famous hand where Roland De Wolfe was not happy… I’ve never heard of it and I’ve been around this game for 20 years and can’t find it on RUclips either… Thanks in advance…
it was Tobias Reinkemeier vs De Wolfe, it was an EPT i guess, it was just a clip from standing by the table, couldn`t find that anymore, Reinkemeier called River, De Wolf just showed one King for a second, then mucked, and now Reinkemeier showed Queen high...
@@psyfranky6414 gotcha. The way they made it sound, it involved Stu Ungar. Roland’s too young to have played with Stu unless he used a fake ID or something, so I was seriously confused, haha. Thanks for the clarification!
Is there any actual video footage of the hand they’re referring to at around 16:47? I believe it was the 2009 EPT Barcelona Main Event, and was a hand between Roland de Wolfe and Tobias Reinkemeier. But I cannot find a single video of this infamous hand. I found an old link, but it goes to a video that no longer exists. I refuse to believe a VIDEO disappeared from the INTERNET. So if anyone knows where to find video footage of this hand, it’d be more than appreciated!

i cannot find a video of the Stu Ungar stud hand they are talking about.. commentators say u can find it if u type it into youtube but i've searched for some time to no avail. Can anyone give a link?
Brutal why would dnegs fold the 8 of clubs on that turn haha? That’s a nice blocker to have in that spot, and Seiver could be making a move there for sure
I'd give it a 1 or a 1.5 as far as how much I care about any of these players... But if the main criteria was "How punchable are their faces?" then I'd give it a 7 or an 8.
Didn't expect the armwrestling discourse. I'm super into the sport. It's not all meatheads either, a common misunderstanding. The greatest of all time is John Brzenk, who has been at the top of his sport for 40 years, something unheard of in other sports
Individuals on gg poker. No reason to think gg is involved itself from what i have seen. If anyone says so they must have knowledge that is not public or they are speculating. That said gg rake is huge and basically no one beats the rake there. So i would advise to play elsewhere where they do not rake u to death
The problem for Daniel is that every so often he gets this urge where he is going all in no matter what he has.So he starts with a 5/7 off suit and plans on playing like he is strong all the way and it almost never works and the seldom odd time it does just encourages him to keep on playing that way. This has imo what has lead to him no longer being a factor but just an old has been face of the game that still sells views.
Talking through and between players in a hand is pretty commonplace these days. I came up in the era where it was rude but it’s not considered rude anymore. Been that way for at least 4 or so years now.
Terrible Call there by berkey against Gonzalez, hes pretty much the titghest player at the table and called a 4 bet, A pair of A had him beat, a all in would had been much better or a simple raised, weak check in the flop

14:30 I don't get paying this off. Almost impossible for Franzi to miss this board and he's going to be checking back a huge portion of his range.
He's betting the whole time so he problem ruled out the backdoor flush. Probably figured sets are unlikely so he beats everything but a 10. Hard to not pay that off there. The way he played too Franzi always betting there.
how negreanu folds the straight to Seiver is beyond me. seivers a mad man lol. this is probably why i play small stakes
Seiver 3 betting with no club was just weird. If chris or negreanu jams there then what?? Odd fold by negreanu when you can tell scott was tilting and just showed 85o a few hands before.
Didn't serier have a straight though? He had Q8? Wouldn't him and Daniel chop or am I missing something?
@@haydenbowen7338 But if Chris or Daniel shove there, Siever has to fold. It’s strange to 3 bet there with no club.
@@haydenbowen7338 I agree. I said the exact same thing

I liked this video immediately after Seiver got rivered and called and lost a big pot. Always entertaining!
Very interesting hand at 18:00. The line Gonzalez took I assume was for deception to represent a confusing story
