- Action and atmosphere from Nissan Motorsports Europe's extensive test session, held on the 'Newcastle' stage, on the border between County Tipperary and County Waterford in Ireland. The footage includes interviews with team boss Dave Whittock and NME's drivers at the time, Tommi Makinen and Alister McRae, plus action clips of the F2-spec Nissan Sunny being put through its paces.
Originally produced by Sports Seen for its 'Acceleration' series of rally videos. There are occasional image glitches on this footage.

R.I.P. Craig Breen. Thanks for the upload, underrated channel
Certainly - freak accident. Cabin got a thing came into it when he went off in testing. Very tragic. RIP Waterford lad. 😐🇮🇪
He was completely right about the costs spiraling out
So many great drivers drove that Sunny. McRae , Makinen , De Mevius , Mokkenen , and Higgins
And Dai llewellin
Fun to see! Thanks
I’m the owner of L2 NME.
Very cool. IIRC the report doesn't mention the fact that this test session did not end well. Big accident for Alister McRae, by all accounts - and I'd have to assume that was L2... Enjoy it!
Full acceleration episodes would be epic. There is an M-sport testing a blue Escort WRC with Kankkunen episode I'd love to see again.
Currently working my way through 25 volumes of Acceleration. There's no way I'll be able to share all of it - rights issues will get in the way - but hopefully there will be some snippets that I can put on here that will make people smile. David Winstanley at Sports Seen was a true enthusiast and covered aspects of the sport that others wouldn't even think of filming.
What a note from the sunny and David Winstanley rip , another fantastic upload cheers fella. RIP Craig Breen
thank you for your work on those amazing videos
Glad you like them!
David Winstanley’s voice, great to hear again.
Absolutely a missed voice in the world of rallying
Timo Makinen looks so fresh faced and young here.
Tommi 😊
