@@lw3609 Yeah agreed, it all depends on what else you're doing, visuals are weighty in terms of mb, but you don't need that many of them. But there are so many things you can do with Skyrim nowadays that all the rest of the gubbins can add up to a _huge_ modlist, especially since some of the mods only tweak one little thing. For example, if you want to make Skyrim play more like standard modern 360 degree 3rd person gameplay with cool, detailed animations that blend well, you can now do that - amazingly so, given the game's age and the fact that 3rd person was originally very janky - but it's quite mod intensive. There are loads of lovely new contextual animation packs too (e.g. you're no longer restricted to one idle). Then there's various overhaul and gameplay mods like Requiem and all the variations on that type of theme, then some combat overhauls or whatever. Then survival mods, etc., armor mods, horse mods, companion mods, etc., etc. And that's not even to mention expansion zones and new quest mods. This looks amazing. One thing I noticed that is a bit odd though is that the roads become heavily overgrown as soon as the player steps outside of the town, a little more than they should be, that close to a town. Realistically the road may not be very heavily trodden, but you'd think even a somewhat small enough amount of traffic would help to keep SOME of the weeds down in the road. As well as the town would probably have someone to go out and clear some of it occasionally with a scythe, or allow their grazing animals to walk along the path, eating plants and trampling the plants. The plants in the road make sense further out, but so close to a town doesn't make sense. But otherwise, I think this looks amazing and is a good take on refreshing the game.

Theres a mod to fix that, I cant remember the name off the top of my head but it basically tells all the grass mods that certain spots are off limits, like the middle of town roads and inside of structures and such
Although the wailing loon at 3:53 has been over used as a sound of the ominous wilderness in media, it actually makes sense in this setting considering the far northern region.
Skyrim for me is the kind of game that's more fun to mod than it is to play. Every time I feel the urge to play again, I spend 10-20 hours just setting up mods, then the gameplay just doesn't hold up.
If u put that much effort on making something perfect, the only thing perfect, in fact, was making it and that was already done when u hop on the game so really shouldn't hold up like u said. That being said, give "Collections" in Nexus a go, so u can give more focus on getting an arrow in the knee rather than tweaking graphic mods and enbs
I'm with you there. I once dared to go beyond the regular mod limit and downloaded everything I could think of. I spent weeks going through tutorials, instructions and many, many technical issues. And then, when my game finally looked, sounded and felt perfectly beautiful... the gameplay didn't hold up.
I know right? Sometimes I just enjoy the modding and patching and tweaking things in CK so much that afterwards I only check that "YAY the game didn't crash!" and that's it, time to go to sleep. :D But I also DO start playing it later with said mods. These are just two separate activities.
I got into combat overhauling mod lists, made the game play like a mix of sekiro and elden ring, perfect for my taste. At this point skyrim modding has transformed the game into some sort of build-a-bear style platform.
As insane as the mods here are, I'm here for that armor set! So happy you included it! Sometimes the NPCs, player character and armor mods can actually be immersion-breaking but this looks just right!
thought it was great but i tried to do just like you and everything is messed up. You dont talk about how some mods you have need several other mods in order to properly work and thes mods are in conflicts with each other. so yeah your game look just fine but you don't talk about how difficult it is to make it work. spend 4 hours to do like you, now i have to start again. YEY
Personally, I found it quite rewarding researching mods, tweaking settings, and fault-finding issues. But , I also get it that sometimes you just want to tick some option boxes, and away you go 😊
You should make your mod setup into a collection so we can be sure to have the right load order for everything! Though I still need a 4090 to run all this…
Yeah tbh I've been so burned by crashes that I can't be bothered going through this list to see if it works. If it were saved as a collection it would be way easier. I just have no idea what I'm doing with load orders.
Game looks absolutely stunning equivalent to modern games. Reshade is particularly impressive, I wonder if postprocessing effect changes dynamically based on the weather. While it may look super realistic on a sunny day, the question is how ReShade handles cloudy weather when there is no direct sunlight and a lot of diffuse light. There shouldn't be so much of contrast and bright colors on a rainy / cloudy day.
They need to make a one click download and install file for things like this. Those that are new to modding will never bother with the amount of hassle you have to go through to get any of this working.
Looks absolute fantastic and thanks for the load order stuff as well. My only gripe is all the flora in the town, why do modders always go ham ?? People would obviously remove it in real life why is there a forest on a road in a village??? Anyways.
There’s a mod that removes grass from towns cities and npcs rotes as well as fixing interiors. It’s a must on my mod list. Can’t remember the name but you won’t have difficulty in finding ir
Seems like there's two types of modders in Skyrim... those who like flooding the cities with trees and those who prefer to expand the cities to be realistic-looking. It's always these two kinds of mutually exclusive modders. I swear. There's no in between. Just look it's the same in this video. The modder here still has Solitude in vanilla size...the same puny size that's more like a village than an actual city.
@@ZX235w3 My intent here is a skyrim “remaster”. Expanded cities is something I do not want. Adding more flora and polygons to the existing layout of the towns and cities is what I am trying to do here. Just my take on a skyrim remaster.
Excessive clutter on the roads is intentional. Just my preference and vision of a skyrim remaster. I would also argue its not too out of place in a town like falkreath. Everyone here in the town is depressed and lazy
That's quite possible in some aspects. But people will probably mod it soon enough to look better than this mod with quite less mods involved so in the end it will look insane.
The issue with mods like this and what makes them so heavy is that often LOD's arent used, there's little to no optimization, and so many mods are stacked on top of each other (including mods that have poor optimization) that it all ends up running super slow. Plus, if I remember correctly, TES6 is going to use photogrammetry which will make the game look really great. People have to remember that Skyrim is like a decade old. Yeah it looks pretty bad, but it's not like they don't know that.
Looks really and it does have a vanilla flavor to it, which I prefer, but I think there are too many leaves and pieces of clutter on the ground, specially on the roads, they look extremely unkempt, almost like forgotten woodland trails instead of well traveled paths, doubly so the ones that are inside towns and villages.

2:35 I like how that guard just casually hop on the other guy's scabbard when it got in his way and immediately drop off like it was nothing.
Exceptional. Really brings out the wildness of Skyrim. I'm currently doing another playthrough, but next time I'll be getting these mods.
It is insane how much you can modify Skyrim in terms of visuals just sad that it’s not that easy for combat
There's the souls combat mod that was awesome and quite alot of others just got to search it up
The quirky combat is what makes the elder scrolls the elder scrolls though, you don’t want it to be a completely different game do you?

@Ben Kraze just because your a filthy casual
Although the wailing loon at 3:53 has been over used as a sound of the ominous wilderness in media, it actually makes sense in this setting considering the far northern region.
if i recall you can customize the sounds in SOS
@@marcoscarrasco92same xD.
I know right? Sometimes I just enjoy the modding and patching and tweaking things in CK so much that afterwards I only check that "YAY the game didn't crash!" and that's it, time to go to sleep. :D
But I also DO start playing it later with said mods. These are just two separate activities.
I got into combat overhauling mod lists, made the game play like a mix of sekiro and elden ring, perfect for my taste. At this point skyrim modding has transformed the game into some sort of build-a-bear style platform.
Breathtaking.
As insane as the mods here are, I'm here for that armor set! So happy you included it! Sometimes the NPCs, player character and armor mods can actually be immersion-breaking but this looks just right!
what armor set is that?

thought it was great but i tried to do just like you and everything is messed up.
But , I also get it that sometimes you just want to tick some option boxes, and away you go 😊
Ever heard of load order? Skill issue
4 hours moding and you nag? Moding is not for you. Enjoy Vanilla and lead a peaceful life.
4:13 all these mods, but your greatsword still clips through your body.
You should make your mod setup into a collection so we can be sure to have the right load order for everything! Though I still need a 4090 to run all this…
A 3090 or 4070ti should run this pretty well. Not sure what you have.
A 3090 is enough
reshade and enb do not have to be installed
Yeah tbh I've been so burned by crashes that I can't be bothered going through this list to see if it works. If it were saved as a collection it would be way easier. I just have no idea what I'm doing with load orders.
@@DaveB there are plenty of modlists out there
my god, this is better than PredCaliber's modlist! holy cow! I love this photo-realistic look!
Will you make a wabbajack for us please!
I like that these mods added it doesn't lose any of the Skyrim style and look.
You get in one actual combat encounter and that shit sending you back to the home screen lmfao ☠️☠️
Those that are new to modding will never bother with the amount of hassle you have to go through to get any of this working.
yeah this guy just need to copy all his game files in to drive or something so we can download that one zip and its good to go
Now I won't be able to find nirnroot!
That's a pretty lean mod list! I was using PredCaliber's 2021 list as a basis for a long time. Many of the same mods.
this is fire , it's very beautiful ,bravo 👏👏👏👏
The modder here still has Solitude in vanilla size...the same puny size that's more like a village than an actual city.
it's because of how the base game handles grasses and shrubs when you increase density. removing them is the manual task not adding them
@@ZX235w3 My intent here is a skyrim “remaster”.
Crazy that this will look better then the next TES game.
Except the city of Solitude still looks tiny....
Can't believe people like this modder can mod everything except make cities bigger
That's quite possible in some aspects. But people will probably mod it soon enough to look better than this mod with quite less mods involved so in the end it will look insane.
@@carlosamado7606 true and it’s an updated game engine so there won’t be as much limitation and bottlenecking
Also the way the leaves float above the ground is really off-putting. Beautiful otherwise!
Dragons are gonna have a harder time landing and moving around among all those trees.
The music reminds me of times when i was 19 playing Skyrim and enjoying college. Missing good old times

Do you have a load order for these? I have the textures all in the correct order but I am still running into some issues. Would love to see your load order so I can duplicate, thanks
What a mod for the camera, at 1:57 minutes, the movements are very dynamic.
Looks beautiful. Fair play to you 🐦
If I would start up my game with these mods installed, I would have traded my computer for a fireplace..
11 years and this game still gets attention. Impressive.

Wow your modded Skyrim is the best from the best ❤️
3:30 that bush looks like it's having a house party.
This is exactly what I’ve been looking for! A graphics upgrade that still looks like Skyrim and not some saturated color fantasy
What catched me the most in this video were the guards look and walking.
The closer you get the more the bush dances.
i lovvveee seeing other people’s mod setups, everyone is so unique

Wow. I turned my laptop into a mini fireplace. 👍
Thanks for the mod list
It's beautiful and frustrating for someone who has over 1000 mods to see what with so little you accomplish so much. It makes you rethink deleting everything and start with this base. Very nice work
damn these mods really make me want to play this game again
God damn I’d love to time travel back to Skyrims release and show someone from the past this video to show them how far the game will come and see their reaction
