We went to see Disney On Ice today, 4/2/22 in Hershey, PA. My grandsons, 4 and 7, love Maui. They knew they had to sit through Frozen to get to Maui. They endured. Then, they sat through Aladdin, then Mulan, then all the cast members came out for the finale, no Maui.They were somewhat disappointed. There said it was mostly for girls.
Sorry that happened but some cast members got COVID and they had to make adjustments. Some skaters had to do double duty (Even triple duty) so that means they couldn't be in two places at the same time.

It’s absolutely gross they casted a white woman as Moana. Do better Disney.
Actually, it's pretty hard to find decent skaters of the proper ethnicity. Add to the fact that there are multiple troupes of this show crisscrossing the country at the same time, and also having cast members coming down with COVID. It's a pretty daunting task. I know for a fact that Disney on Ice, Mickey and Friends 2022 has a skater who has to do Moana, Mulan, and Jasmine during the show because she is much closer to the proper country of representation. Even though the cast is very diversified, you have to make sure that the principle skater doesn't fall when doing jumps. I'm not affiliated with Feld Entertainment (Who puts on the shows) but I have intimate knowledge of their inner workings.
