I tried to upgrade to the 120A Spektrum ESC and figured out the hard way that the outrigger motor doesn't play nice, so I got the motor you had, and your machining tips for the motor mount are super helpful. Good work! But I'm not sure that it matters whether or not you drill into the cooling system for the motor mount since the new motor has a cooling jacket and the mount isn't used for water cooling anymore if you upgrade to the new motor?
I can't remember exactly why I drilled the motor mount, I think it was because I used the dynimite 2000kv 6 pole which has a vose on it, if you use a leopard motor I don't think drilling is needed

Awesome IRONCLAD mods there Big B 👏 The biggest HATE for me in RC boats is hook & loop battery straps 😖 Man they are a pain in the butt for sure. I've used hook & loop tape before but with single strap trays, just as a bit of extra hold. But this extra wide stuff you used is potentially a game changer for several of my boats. Need to source an equivalent in UK. Again, thanks for sharing brother 👌👍

That marine weld is good stuff. Alot of people discredit jb-weld products, I've had good success with most of there products. Quality epoxy is expensive so I try to hold on to my wetsystem & only use it on larger projects that need the extra strength 💪

Was wondering if you have a mod/upgrade for the small adjuster on the rudder push rod? I have clipped the bottom of the rudder in low water a couple times and the screw stem has sheared off instead of just pushing up the rod? Your Shreddy doing 60mph on that pond is crazy!!! There is a type of Velcro called Alfa lok and another brand called scotch dual lock that has 2 halves the same no felt or smooth side and it clicks together it’s amazing stuff.

Quick question. If I kept stock motor and esc but swapper receiver/transmitter to the Noble Flysky. Will it still self right? Or will I lose that feature?
I'll be running my 4s 6000 100C lipo's because 8S beast of a losi uses 2 of those at a time. But still waiting on my recoil 2, dunno when I will get it.

Could you use the marine glue for battery tray also?
I ended up using Bob Smith 30 min epoxy for the battery tray. Used some fiberglass chopped up for reinforcement.

You'll have to manually blip the trigger forward to reverse to self right the boat. It should self right
The Velcro is how I keep my battery’s in the UL-19 with the carbon fiber insert and allows for 2(4s)spektrum 5000’s in it when I want to use 8s👍
Worked better than I thought, the velcro actually held the battery in place even after a few 60mph crashes..
so the stock motor will handle 6s. my ? is have you ever run your stock motor on 6s as well.
No, stock motor barley handles 4s, definitely don't throw 6s on it. BG4L

Did you ever try running a 5s on the stock setup? Will the esc boot up
Stock electronics is only 4s capable. Do not run 5s with stock electronics

No I'd go lighter weight/lower mah, something like a 4000/4500mah size. The stock esc doesn't like the extra weight....
