The #NissanGTR (R35) is a high-performance sports car and grand tourer produced by #Nissan that was unveiled in 2007. It is the successor to the Skyline #GTR, a high performance variant of the Nissan Skyline. Although this car was the sixth-generation model to bear the GT-R name, the model is no longer part of the Nissan Skyline model lineup since that name is now reserved for Nissan's luxury-sport vehicles. The GT-R shares the Nissan FM platform with the separate Nissan Skyline luxury car and the Nissan Z sports car. The production version of the GT-R debuted at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show, with a lap time of 7:38 minutes at the wet condition Nürburgring Nordschleife. Nissan chief creative officer, Shirō Nakamura, has likened the new GT-R to the giant robots of the Gundam series. This Nissan GT-R engine was hand build by Tsunemi Ooyama, a takumi craftsman.
