I've always loved the Sand Scorcher.... now after seeing this vid I actually NEED one myself!!! Thumbs up for getting me into this dilema (wife will be spewing)!!! hahaha
Yes you do...and yes she will :-) Rc dan, swiss hey?...with comments like "wife will be spewing" - you must have learnt English from an Aussie :-) Thanks for your comment and apologise to your wife for me.
joliousvideous LOL... Asia born and raised actually, so my Englisch consist of Aussie, Brit and US slang rounded off with a slightly British-Swiss accent :-)
Jahmen RC Thanks. The steering geometry is pretty good design , with only one wheel steering the other just followed I was amazed that it worked so well. .getting on the trailer was a bit tricky though.
What a superb piece of amateur film-making! I try my best but I can only dream of getting such beautiful, long tracking shots with the car right in the centre of the screen. I loved your trailer as well. By the way, I thought the music you chose to use made a big contribution to the video´s overall beauty. Congratulations!
I did a video called Carisma GT-16 rc VW Baja Beetle. I had asked Matteo of "Matteo´s RC Movies" how he gets his tracking shots and he had replied "I just walk with the camera on a stick" and my Carisma video was my first attempt at doing the same. I tried again in "HPI Coyote pre-production model" using a far heavier camera in hopes of gaining stability but the quality seen in your footage is what I´d like to achieve...
Del350K4 What is missing from my video is the other 20 mins of footage that I cut out.. I was using a GoPro Hero3 on a 1.2 metre pole, I knew what I was going for, exactly as you described - the long tracking shots close in on the car. The other thing to consider, all video looks smoother in slow motion - most of my videos are at 50% - I shoot at 60fps and render out at 30fps, I was super happy with the 120fps footage, I included pretty well all of what I took. - Keep trying - take lots of video, rerun the same scene a few times - you will get there for sure.. Good Luck.. I will check out your videos..
Superb video. Fantastic location and lovely Scorcher. Well done all round. Thumbs up from me ! Were you driving and filming ? If so even more well done as I struggle to keep the car in shot while running along with the GoPro on a stick !
Tamiya never nailed the realistic detail to scale handling quite like this again. The metal parts give it such a cool stance. Awesome work.
Many Thanks Greg, have to agree ... this one is my favourite Tamiya model !..
I agree. This was totally jaw-droppingly when it arrived in 1979.
im thinking of getting one soon, any advice?
Great location. Nice filming/edit. Awesome sand scorcher. Love the colour. 👌🏻👍🏻 thanks for sharing

Brilliant video mate,! What was the metallic blue you used? As it looks stunning.
Thanks Dave, I believe it was a Tamiya colour..long since thrown the can away..I wanted to be a little different to the box colour..
@@joliousvideous Thanks for the reply. Good to hear it was a Tamiya colour.
Hi what motor do you have in your sandscorcher thanks
+Losi Micro Guy It's the stock motor and ESC that came with the 2010 rerelease running on a 2 cell Lipo.
+joliousvideous Have you changed any plugs on it and could you do a review thanks
+Losi Micro Guy Plugs? - yes the Lipo came with Traxxis plug, so changed ESC to Traxxis plug also. I am not a fan of the Tamiya plug.
