The KJV translated the Bible into the language of the common man, so that everyone could have access to the gospel instead of having it be told to them by the Church. The KJV was more than just a translation, it was a revolution in regards to salvation. It was, and still is, the definitive version of the Bible for many people and it has influenced countless people. Probably one of the most, if not the most important translation of all time.
It's great, on one hand, that the KJV is so popular but it is a shortened version of the bible. Anyone reading it is not getting the whole story, literally. The first bible was written and canonized by the Catholic church in 398 AD. It is the inspired Word of God. In the 1500s, Martin Luther removed 7 books, shortened a few books and changed some wording around to support his protest. What he did was not inspired by God. If you want to read the complete inspired bible, you have to read the New American Version which is what Catholics read.
Beautiful work. Amazing artist. But all the religious BS around his message is a turn off. I lived in Japan, my uncle was a Catholic missionary in Japan for 50 years. I was working for him. I can honestly tell you that the Catholic faith, responsible for most wars in history, really does not have the wisdom , light years away from Shintoisme or Buddhism.
So very inspiring...Gods love through art! Nothing more beautiful! Thank you!!! Thank God!!!
So beautiful that it brought me to tears.
The art is transcendent, like the Word. Beauty marriage of both.
Thank God for your art. It reflects the profoundness and beauty of God - inspiring.
Thank you makoto!

It's not a King James bible. It's a King James TRANSLATION of the original languages. Why celebrate that?
That's not what this was celebrating.
