I absolutely love Ken and his show! As a native San Diegan, I've been watching for many many many years...though I moved away about 10yrs ago, I still find comfort and joy from watching this series whenever I want to take a trip back home without actually travelling.

How Cute Parrots and how they squawk, I thought it was Big Bird from Sesame Street could squawk! Love this video, About San Diego, and KPBS at the same time!!

Dr. Jenkins is a fine veterinarian. I've taken my reptiles to him for more than 30 years.

Are they the same flock that hangs out in El Cajon?

I was told a ship accident in the 60's or 70's caused them to get loose, was a paper ad for rewards for catching them. Kids in the 70's tried setting traps for them..

Here's what I know and believe about these parrots. I was about 12 years old. My second cousin was one of the many people who brought them illegally across the border. We had so many baby parrots in my home. All the family has at least one. Little by little they escaped. And that's how they started to reproduce and flick together.
