I loved my brick PS2! Was the best Christmas gift I ever got lol It had Ratchet and Clank bundled with it. Probably my favorite system I had as a kid. So many great games 😃
Tried this wheel today. It has a massive deadzone that makes correcting your car very difficult. It's basically a gimmick. Are all the wheels on the PS2 like this or did I just draw the short straw? Ideally there'd be a modern wheel that has an adapter for retro consoles but it seems at though that does not exist.
You should see if you can get a steering wheel for the Sega Dreamcast and play those games and see if you have the same problems with those steering wheels. You could play 18 wheeler pro trucker, crazy taxi and other similar games.
Hey dude, great video as always. Normally I watch for the Chinese reviews but I am looking at getting one of these wheels at the moment. I prefer just using the wheel with no pedals (I'm used to that way from my Sega Saturn Racing Wheel). Can games be controlled solely with the wheel and the on wheel buttons, paddles etc?
Some wheels have buttons only it's not a easy way to play. Racing wheels is one new rabbithole to deep dive into together. Working on some new videos regarding this subject.
@@WickedGamerCollector 👍. I just purchased this wheel & pedals you reviewed here, for the bargain price of 10 gbp, and I'm really looking forward to receiving it and playing it with Outrun2006, PS2 🎉
I used to play nfs ug 1 and 2 on a steering wheel a lot back in the day (pc version). Drag races were OK, changing lanes was a bit tough, but manageable. Drifting was impossible, there was absolutely no control with the wheel. The rest though, from what I remember it was perfectly fine. Again, it was pc version, so maybe it's got something to do with that
I had this sim wheel, from my experience this was the worst sim wheel I've ever had. Cheap plastic and bad build quality. My paddle shifters, Spring tension holder and Throttle pedal were broken on the same day I bought it. The plastics that they were used to build this sim wheel were very thin and fragile.
I have one of these and it is really bad. 'minor dead zone'! Is an understatement. And it also seems longer to the left than the right. Also the pedals are digital, not analogue. You feel completely disconnected from the cars as a result. You know, I have the same wheel for the Dreamcast that worked really well. It was a much bigger wheel and base also. But it was awesome on Dreamcast Daytona and F355. I've used this one on F355 for PS2 and it is definitely much worse. Still, it works better on that game than on GT3 and 4 which had too too much inherent understeer to start with and no option to adjust sensitivity.
hello sir ! i have a question , do you have any recommendations for racing wheels with pedals to use on ps 2 ? if you have , you can reply my comment and tell me , it will help me a lot ! sorry for the bad english sir
Depends what game you like to play. For example when you grab Gran Turismo and a certain wheel you get way better gaming fun. ruclips.net/video/882umydgfJM/видео.html&ab_channel=WickedRacing
Thrustmaster made a lot of Ferrari and NASCAR-brand wheels. I had a NASCAR Sprint PC wheel that I had modded for arcade PCB play until my custom cable inside started to break, but it was very well built and sturdy for the time. Then when Guillemot bought the company in '99, Thrustmaster's quality started to decline bad. I had two NASCAR Compact wheels that started to crap out on me with really flimsy paddles, and I mean you can break them off with so little effort. That wheel was just a complete piece of crap. They definitely put more money into making the actual foot pedals on the wheel than the "hand pedals" for gas and brake, which is a shame considering how awesome Sprint was.
Love racing wheels with pedals. This type of controller and light guns have been somewhat overlooked in recent times.

Wheel turned 30 degrees..
"There's a minor dead zone in it" 🤣 You have waaaaay more patience than I do my friend!
Wicked Gamer's patience is legendary. No one can review the cheap emulators that he can.
I love old retro racing gear :)
So do I
Loved playing racing games as kids using a steering wheel
👍👍
As you said, for the PS2 all you need is a Logitech G25. They are pretty cheap these days but so worth it.
Do you use a HDMI adapter? Image looks pretty good

Hay bro! I got the madcatz mc2 ps2,xbox,pc steering wheel. Is there anywhere i can see pictures or a video of a disassembly before i service my one?
I did one teardown a long time ago with a madcats.
@@WickedGamerCollector yea the ps1 one?

1st. I used to love to play racing games on the PS2
Yeah only did not use any wheels back in the days.
GT3 played that all the way with a controller 😳

@@WickedGamerCollector You should have used the Logitech Driving Force (or the GT Force). Both have force feedback, and are fantastic with GT3.
@@ShonnDaylee Do have that wheel.. need to dig it up from storage.
Did review it for PC .. works great with Project Cars 😲

Where do you connect the pedals please.?
If there is an option for that.
Did this not go into the wheel itself ?
The pedals warking in nfs underground 2?
you should get a sony pvm to do gameplay footage on
Hello, does the wheel work with PC too?
Nope... don't bother.
Did the wheel work on need for speed underground 2 ??? I cant make it work on my ps2
I bought it to my son ps2 and the game underground 2 and same wheel like you
But it only works with the consol://

I have the same tamav means literally the same bro
Can i use this wheel with ps3 ?
Do they work on xbox 1 and ps4??
main problem is connection.
They don't have USB.. if they have you need a Brook Converter 🙄
And those are 10x the price of this wheel alone 🤪
@@WickedGamerCollector Yo,but if I cut the cable and replace it with a usb,it can work on a ps3?

Nah, and if so you should need a expensive converter
are there USB to PS2 converters?
Ps2 has a usb port
