Wow what a cool find. Bagged collection in my favorite, as long as there isn't a raccoon/bear problem and the bags are well tied there isn't a more efficient collection method. Hell if the chassis was a conventional cab dude could probably do half these stops hanging his right arm out the side without stopping, just slinging bags behind right into the hopper. Guessing those were pieces of colored tape or something being used instead of actual PAYT tags at 1:30, with the lady waiting around watching to see if she managed to fool the guy. I wonder what the setouts would look like if it was unlimited bagged collection? Probably Manhattan Chinatown type shit. The Condor sounds great, RHD wheel position so low makes it look like you're playing with yourself lmao. But visibility looks great, I drove an International where my midget ass was straining to see ahead, this Condor would've been much nicer to use. Body was just like this one, the first generation Expert 2000. Probably the best drop frame side loaders ever made. Big wide hopper with a very low loading height and good packing performance at idle. A clean uncluttered design. That Claude Boivin guy did this Expert 2000, the Labrie Optimizer and the Top Select, dude's a beast.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it. I’ve seen a few guys in Lodals toss in bags without stopping, but I imagine it would be even easier with a conventional, guess I have to go to Canada to see that lmao. I assume there was some type of funny business going on at 1:30, I thought it was interesting how he took so bags out but then through more in at the same stop. It would definitely be much heavier if it was unlimited. That’s one of the funny things about these towns in mass, one town will be like this, then you go to the next town over that is unlimited and it seems like they make 10 times more trash, wild. These low entry Condors definitely have some of the best visibility and height for manual collection, too bad they didn’t take off more. And you’re right, Labries are great trucks, my Expert would always take whatever I through at it.
As great as bag collection is, there is the major risk factor to consider (sharp objects, broken glass, needles….). Plus there’s always the scruffy tramps using the worlds thinnest bags full of cat litter and dog shit, or the ones who are too lazy to tie them up. (Btw this is coming from someone who was stuck in the arm with a used heroin needle while doing bags)
this is Roaring Sterling Condor Labrie Expert MSL Garbage Truck Packing Trash Bags and this color is dark green and the yellow side loader truck its not a waste management
