Can you do a power point on Tara, rn she is mid to D tier in the meta, and I feel as though a good mythic gear a rework on her super and a decent hypercharge will make her good again👍
Hot take: I wish we had more slow or very slow brawlers. Not just like "Oh this new brawler is too op? Then let's just make him very slow", but that the whole brawler is designed around being slow, similarly to 8-bit
as an 8bit main, i confirm the speed is not a problem since simply strafing slightly is enough to seemingly confuse opposing marksmen and... dodge everything. I assume this is due to them being used to normal/fast/very fast brawlers, and they aim like so. Facing someone so slow confuses them and causes them to aim badly (or perhaps their aim is just trash). Also, his 10k healthpool makes him insane against assasins due to his massive burst damage. (average 8bit main after anyone says anything negative about him lol)
From a reddit post: Divide the speed number by 300 to get the tiles/second speed. This would mean 8-bit moves at ~1.9 (580/300) tiles every second. Eye guessing it seems valid
People don’t play him often because of how boring he is, most of the match your walking or trying desperately to get your plugged in super so you can kind of move. He’s a good brawler when played on the right map and mode, but who wants to spend 80% of the game getting to and from a fight
Tbf as an 8-bit main-ish I'd say never go with the plug star power. Always more power, gives something to your teammates and you, not only to you. And if you're playing 8-bit you know it's a long range map + peak potential + good super spots anyway.
@@fireshadowdark5462Beaming a full clip while on the damage booster with boosted booster SP gotta be the most satisfying thing in the game.. around 6k dmg with one ammo
Personally I as 8-bit main never use plug-in, yes, it reduces my mobility, however for example in hot zone I can stand alone against 2-3 brawlers with my turret while it is in safe place and teammates are pushing other zone. Or in heist, where I can fully block a lane by standing there, and if I push enemies enough, their safe is melted in seconds (I need to reach half of the map and they are cooked)
Imagine if his hypercharge, would be like "trick room" from pokemon games. That means he could be reverse speed order, so fast brawlers would be slower
@@Agote_001 I feel like it should apply to your self and enemies, but not teamates, also maybe make it so that the turret has more hp so that it can survive more shots.
@@Blazertronics523 I have a few ideas 1. Full map turret effect area (or maybe just a really big one) 2. Slightly larger turret effect area+ same effect genes super has 3. Slightly larger turret effect area + gives more damage + has more health Could also mix and match some of these
@@MangoMojo I would chose the first one, you could place the turret in your spawn and it would be a nightmare for the enemy team, and I dont think it would be too op (I mean it is op but not so much), someone can sneak and break it and you have to reload your hypercharge all over again + in modes like brawl ball and knockout it would be pretty meh because when a team scores or wins the round every entity dies. My idea for a 8-Bit hypercharge would be: - More turret hp - if you or a teammate have the effect of the turret, your basic attack adds a burn effect (but a good one, like Angelo pre-nerf or a bit less)
Honestly 8-bit is one of my Favourite brawlers in the game, the gameplay changes a lot because of movement speed, where the decisions you make about your movement need to be made a lot lot lot earlier than with normal brawlers, meaning that you need to carefuly think where and when you're heading, rather than going and being able to just flee or change lane on the go. Other than that, he's literally the most busted brawler in the game, with tank like hp, consistency, insane utility + burst super, great range and everything really.
It was quite interesting to watch it as I am 8-bit main, and I want to tell: people who are played enough games on him and feel comfortable with his speed are truly death bringers
@@dr.chalmers7923Yes and no, while 8-BIT has easier to hit attacks and more even matchups overall to play him effectively you need a lot of map awareness and knowing how to change positions on the fly. In that sense he needs both aiming skills from sharpshooters and spatial awareness, matchup knowledge and position like tanks do
@@sjcx1862 let me rephrase, 8-bit’s attack is like colt, but I play him like Bea. When I play colt, I use his speed sp and get in just close enough to full-clip as much as I can, then back off and reload. But Bea is what I call a “shoot ‘n’ strafe” brawler. The only reason Bea is like this is because she has 1 ammo, she cannot spam attacks like piper, colt or Brock. 8-bit can spam attacks, but in practice this isn’t very effective because 1. he is too slow to chase a brawler, and 2. His unload speed is very slow. So instead I shoot, and strafe forward, then repeat. Using my health to my advantage. Any full-clip is devastating for the enemy. And if there is a particularly aggressive enemy, 8-bits health & damage is useful and I find it much easier to defend myself. Conclusion: I gotta play 8-bit more lol
8-bit is my second main and I agree. I genuinely see no problems with his speed and enjoy him so much. The only time is when I get spawn trapped cause my teamates are too
I also absolutely love playing him lol. I love just throwing my turret over a wall, right onto an enemy and using the teleport gadget. They never expect it lmao
I think 8-bit is still a solid pick in ranked when you roll big friend on an open map where most tanks are even less viable, though ranked modifiers in general are kinda😬
hate it when people consider 8-bit bad because of his speed alone. i've been maining him since i've picked him up and it's so obvious he's designed around his slow speed, making him balanced while needing a bit of skill to master him. he's honestly really fun for me because you need to play the long game instead of rushing in. 8-bit is an amazing example on how to make a balanced but still viable brawler
As an 8-Bit main I have to be honest, learning to play against his matchups, good and bad, is quite the journey. I myself have much to learn, and with time I hope I'll be able to win a lot more than lose... I hope.
I love 8 bit, one of my best and favourite characters.
