Audi S3 2.0 TFSI TrackSlag Decat & Resonators Deleted Sound Test

  • In this video, we have my Audi S3 2010 2.0 TFSI Sportback Manual and we have taken it to RJ Performance to have a 3.5" Trackslag Decat Downpipe & Middle resonator deleted. Whilst there I was "Tempted" to get my rear resonator deleted too leaving just the stock backbox in... and it's LOUDDD!
    Next, I will be removing what is left of the stock catback and replacing it with a 3" Milltek Non-Res system and see if that takes the drone and farty noise out of the current set-up as the stock backbox has too much flow for it to muffle the note properly
    Thanks for viewing my first ever RUclips Video and I hope you enjoyed it!

    Got a milltek sport cat downpipe, I was going for the Trackslag cat back but now I've heard it I'm leaning towards a Cobra cat back as they get good reviews.

      Hey man, it’s all relative really, the price tradeoff and the noise you prefer, there are small gains to be made from the Cobra but i think you only see that higher up the power scale. Either way they’re both good setups man, you could give yourself a bit more power with a decat as well

    A bit too loud for my liking but a nice aggressive rasp for sure.

    This sounds absolutely menacing. I have a 2.0TSI A3 K03 turbo. Do you think a trackslag downpipe, resonated with a back box delete will sound nice or too much? I want it to be LOUD. I like the idea of having no backbox as I like mine loudish all the time.

      Hey dude thanks! I think you're right, you can go straight through but a resonator is needed, this was res delete with a stock backbox and it sounded farty and not nice as the backbox couldn't handle the increased flow, So after this I swapped my stock res delete catback for a milltek nonres, sounds much better now. I will have to grab some videos but I need to get someone else to record it or drive haha.

    Hi bro..was it in raspy or to noisy? I had an Mk5 gti and did a decat and res del and it was way to raspy and tin like. I was hoping with the s3 being a different engine and k04 turbo, it will sound much nicer with a decat and res delete. And did you lose power or did it remain the same?

    • @C6MSX
      @C6MSX  3 года назад +2

      Hey man! Yeah it was disgusting hahaha, invest in a decent Catback otherwise it sounds like you’ve disconnected the exhaust from the flange. It felt flatter going through the Rev range whereas now it has a bit more back pressure you feel more of a surge.

    I don't like this sound because the stock backbox isn't made with a free flow pipe inside of it
