What is Lucy so bitter about with Simon? I hate how they grew up her character as a girl in a Womens body, by acting competitive over stuff that she shouldnt (outbidding a house that doesnt make sense), not trusting Kevin, giving bogus reasons like Christmas as a reason to get out of jury duty to name a few. She was also too attached to her parents unlike Matt, Mary, Simon and Ruthie who found independence away from them
@Will N Lucy as the voice of reason? Career wise she was her father's daughter but she was probably the most neurotic member of the family. Kevin, Lucy's husband would be the ultimate voice of reason lol. They are a perfect example of opposites attract as far as maturity lol.
🙄 Yes, she was! She acted so smug, especially how she asked Simon, "Where's the future Mrs. Camden?" in an earlier episode and when Simon asked why, she said "Because I love you, that's why." Her facial reaction screamed self-important like she knew better than anybody. She felt she had every right to but into people's lives whether they wanted her to or not (very similar to Eric). You could probably say the reason for her competitiveness was due to her being left out of everything growing up and how she had to fight for attention while her siblings got most of the attention. But yeah she got ridiculous as she got older especially in season 7 with all the jealousy and not trusting Kevin and later on trying to outbid buying a house and finding reasons on turning down houses because it wasn't in the location she wanted. I'm so glad Kevin was the voice of reason when it came to her.
He is still so funny, and just as cute. 😊
