I’m 76 and I find enjoyment listening to your channel because I like to hear your stories from the past they make me happy. They bring back memories that I had not thought of in a long time. I also just love your sense of humor…I’ve always been thankful that I have been blessed with a good sense of humor. A good laugh is good for the soul ❤❤😃
I remember Dick and Jane when I was young. I think there was also a dog named Spot. I think life was a lot simpler to navigate at that time. Many of us wish it still was.
My mom learned about the nylons tied in knots to keep onions from spoiling back in the 80’s. She hung in the garage where it was cooler. I have my aunts child’s book The little small red hen. It’s over 100 years old. Lookin good granny Pat!😍
Wow! You look absolutely beautiful! Your gorgeous little curls and makeup look fantastic! The glasses, top and earrings were a perfect match! I loved hearing about your upcoming performance! I know you’ll do great! I love you popping on here to just chit chat and tell us all about your day or what you been up to. I could listen to you talk for hours! ❤
You light up my life!…. Dick and Jane! ….Sunday night slumber ahead with a smile, because of you, your Sunday evening, sweet sharing soul! How gracious you are. I’m so happy you have come into my life…..Jude, VA, we have the same dining room chairs..❤
I hope you get someone to video you when you go to Cumberland falls. I would love to see that! I’ve seen the Red Hat Society out and about in my town. They look so beautiful and festive, and always look so happy. Yes the readers certainly reminded me of when I first learn to read. I remember how proud I was when I could read every single word in the whole book. 😮😂😅 Being a child was so glorious at times. Thanks for that trip down memory lane. 👍☺️💖 I hope this isn’t a video from the past, because I really like your hair like this. You look very nice indeed!!! Take care Granny Pat! Big Hugs. 🙋🏻♀️🌺💕💖💕🌺
I had some fun with the Red Hat Society until a couple of the ladies got "Heads" way to "Big" for their "Hats" if ya know what I mean! That kind of ended the fun! 🎀 I love Dick & Jane❤ Memories! Thanks Granny Pat for sharing! Love you!❤❤❤
I agree with many of the others. I don't expect a story always. I simply enjoy our visits. 🥰 I have a Red Hat Society pin and tee shirt. I love the poem about "When I am an old woman, I shall wear purple with a red hat that doesn't go and doesn't suit me..." I had Ted and Sally in 1st grade. ☺ Good visit, Miss Pat. Samantha from East Tennessee
I remember my grandma reading me Dick and Jane! Although I never got into it as a kid who wasn’t from the same time period. And now I wish that I would’ve been more open to those stories. But there are still many vintage books I’ve kept from her that I enjoy to this day.
If the knee-high pantyhose work for the onions, that’s great.❤ all you Gotta do is go to the dollar tree and buy some more and stock up on them before prices go up again if they do at the dollar tree Great video, granny, Pat. I’m home during the day while Bruce works because I don’t work anymore and so therefore, I enjoy listening to your videos when I’m not busy doing other things it keeps me company. I’d love to sit and visit with you.
You look so pretty in all your turquoise! I will be looking forward to hearing how the onion experiment goes. I think I probably end up throwing out more onions than I keep. Loved seeing those old primers and children's books. Precious!

I loved all your stories tonight, Ms. Pat! Ironically, those Dick and Jane readers came up this morning when I was talking with my daughter. I asked her if she remembered what it was like to be little, not know how to read yet, and desperately WANT to know...I recounted visiting my grandparents when I was about four years old and trying to impress the grownups by holding the newspaper in front of my face as if I was reading it--upsidedown! Anyway, I'm 71, learned to read in the 1950s and Dick and Jane were my introduction to the magical world of books. But BOY, do they sound lame when you read them now! Hello Miss Granny Pat. I was so happy to see you published a new video. You always lift my spirits. Our daffodils are through the ground but not blooming yet. I hope you have a very nice week and will be looking for you again soon. Take good care.

I started storing my onions in knee highs when I was a poor college student and couldn't afford to let them go bad and they were cheaper to buy them in bulk! Especially during vedalia onion season. That was just 35 years ago! LOL GOtta' keep them out of the sun!
I love roasted veggies. I use spices and olive oil in my air fryer. I loved Dick and Jane books. Thanks for the memories! You'll do great at your story time!

Well, I started in November and it was an accident because I was looking at my iPad and I said you don’t look too bad to be 90 and then I just started talking and decided I’d put it on RUclips for my kids. My brothers call me, Clarine, James, my husband calls me Clair and he’s number three so I’m glad you answered because I like you very much. You’re very entertaining to another senior lady lol
@@loisbaird-rice5161 you started in November??? That’s fantastic. We must have had the same idea about recording our history. I am anxious to read some of your stories. Stay in touch. I am very curious as to how you grew so fast.
Cumberland Falls... Is that the place that has a huge Bolder you can climb on and a natural Cave by a stream, where you can have picnics??? I went there, once but not sure what the name of the place was but I was visiting in Kentucky?

I started storing my onions in knee highs when I was a poor college student and couldn't afford to let them go bad and they were cheaper to buy them in bulk! Especially during vedalia onion season. That was just 35 years ago! LOL GOtta' keep them out of the sun!
Oh what a thrill that you are going to be a featured storyteller at that event. Wish I could the distance from there is too far.
Granny Pat, I use my Featherweight every week at my quilting group.
That's such a clever idea! I just purchased a bunch of onions, I'll have to try this method out! 😊🙏

Hello Granny Pat, this is Lois,Baird Rice and I have a RUclips channel with 56,000 people following and I just shouted you out this morning. I enjoy your tube so I’m hoping that a lot of my grandchildren that watch me be I am 90 will enjoy you because you are as cute as a button.
Wow! I gotta check you out. And I thought I was the oldest on utube. Just can’t put an old crony down.
Send me your Utube channel. How long have you been on?
Well, I started in November and it was an accident because I was looking at my iPad and I said you don’t look too bad to be 90 and then I just started talking and decided I’d put it on RUclips for my kids. You know I have three daughters and a son so I thought I’d give them my history things they don’t know so it’s Lois Baird-Rice And I will come up. Everybody calls me in my family.
In Newton Mass we had Tom&Betty- Susan, Flip and Frisky Kitten❤
I agree...lets bring back some good TV programs!❤
Cumberland Falls... Is that the place that has a huge Bolder you can climb on and a natural Cave by a stream, where you can have picnics??? I went there, once but not sure what the name of the place was but I was visiting in Kentucky?
I’m not familiar with your description.
